Chapter 12

As they watched the film, Misty was still refusing to eat. Liam bit his lip and pulled her close. She stared up at him, slight confusion on her face. “Why won’t you eat love?” he whispered. “I won’t be able to keep it down,” she said softly. It was true, whenever she lost someone she lost her appetite for days, sometimes even weeks. It was hard to stomach anything. Liam nodded slowly, figuring she coped in her own way and rubbed her back. Misty curled into him just slightly, laying her head on his chest. “I am hungry though,” she mumbled, holding onto Liam tightly. Liam kissed her forehead softly “Let’s go find you some soup love” Misty nodded slowly, looking up at him with trust in her eyes.

He lifted her from the couch and took her hand, leading her to the kitchen. She followed him, sitting in a chair in the kitchen. Liam looked through the cabinets, finding some chicken soup. Misty rested her head on the table, she had a headache. Liam handed her an aspirin, and heated the soup up. She took the pill gladly, smiling weakly at Liam. Liam kissed her head gently before putting the soup in front of her. Misty ate slowly. About ten minutes later the bad luck held true and she got up, going into the restroom and vomiting, it hurt this time and several tears slipped down her cheeks. Liam held her hair back and wiped her tears. She stood back up and said softly, “Told you so. Food hates me, and my stomach hates food.” Liam sighed Misty looked down slightly, brushing her teeth before going and sitting on the couch curling up into a ball.

Several days went by. Misty finally managed to stomach some food and was feeling better. Meliza had stopped shutting her friends and family out as she had gotten the space she needed. In the morning, Niall pulled Liam aside and said “I’ve got it!” he grinned. They’d been trying to figure out a way to make the girls at least a little bit happy, and Niall has an idea. Liam looked confused and raised an eyebrow. “Amusement park double date,” Niall said decidedly. Liam grinned “You’re a genius.” “The girls need to smile. And they both love roller coasters and funnel cake.” Niall laughed. Liam nodded “Want to go tell them mate?”

Liam nodded and went to the girls who were watching a film together all cuddly on the couch. Liam sat beside Misty, grinning. Misty looked up, and Niall sat on the other side of the girls, smiling at Meliza. Meliza looked at him and raised an eyebrow “What are you two planning?” she mumbled, voice finally back. Misty didn’t even have to ask, her eyes said it all as she kept her grip on her older sisters hand. Niall grinned at Liam, saying. “We aren’t doing anything, are we Li?” Meliza narrowed her eyes “Nope, something’s going on...” she said after Liam smiled innocently and said, “Nope, sure aren’t.” Niall laughed. “We have a surprise for you girls.” Liam nodded as Meliza climbed into Niall’s lap “Oh?” she asked, looking up into his eyes. “How would you two like to go spend the day in an amusement park with me and my good buddy Liam over there.” Meliza’s eyes went wide and she grinned slightly, nodding. Misty nodded slightly, looking at the boys. Liam kissed her cheek and grinned. “Lets go then!” Niall said, lifting up Meliza bridal style and carried her out to the car, laughing. Meliza giggled slightly and held onto his neck, as Liam helped Misty up. “Hey I’m not ready!” Meliza whined “I’m in pants” He laughed, holding up a bag. “We’re going partying afterwards, Misty helped me pick out the outfit for you.” Meliza’s eyebrows shot up “Ni, we haven’t been partying since our first date. Please let me change? I don’t wanna be all sweaty when we go out, pwease Nini?”He rolled his eyes and set her down on her feet gently. She kissed his cheek and ran inside, getting ready quickly. She ran back downstairs in flats, mini shorts and a flowy tank top.

Niall whistled when he saw her, opening the car door for her. Meliza blushed lightly, hairbrush in hand as she got in, pulling her hair into a ponytail as sitting beside Niall in the back seat.

Misty stood up and stretched, walking out to the car in her shorts and her Batman t-shirt. Liam smiled and grinned “Love the shirt baby” he smiled. Misty blushed and smiled. “Thanks,” she said softly, before walking off in front of him to the car. He held her door open for her then went to the driver’s side. Misty sat in the car and yawned, stretching again. Liam took her hand, driving to the theme park and helping Misty out of the car. She smiled slightly at him, before looking at the entrance to the theme park. Liam took her hand as Meliza got out. Niall grinned at Meliza, putting an arm around her. The group of four walked into the park.
