Nyela's POV.

Devan just sat there staring at me from across the breakfast table. She told me she ate at Drew's so I guess that's cool. Devan and Drew seemed to hit it off great. I mean hell they have already slept in the same bed for gods sake. I mean not saying I'm jealous, because I'm not. It's just well Devan told me her night, but has failed to ask about mine. Should I just come out and tell her what happened? maybe she doesn't care?

Breaking my train of thought, I heard Devan cough to get my attention, I looked up at her.

Devan: Nay what happened with you and Keaton?

For a second I wandered how I was going to start off the long events of last night.

Me: Lets just say we had one hell of a night!

Devan looked at me with a huge smile. So I began where it all started the night of the beach party.

We got to the beach and walked over to emblem3's friends. I'm not one of those people that can just jump in and act like I belong there. Devan on the other hand is not like me at all! She can walk into a room and start talking to someone she just met like they have been old friends. It highly pisses me off to be honest. Drew had taken Devan by the fire to mingle. I kind of stayed behind, I don't wanna ruin what they have going on.

I stood near the water letting the cold waves wash over my feet . The moon looked bigger than usual and the stars were scattered in the sky perfectly. I was just about to walk in further when I heard a voice, telling me that I shouldn't do it. I thought it was just my conscience so I ignored it and walked a little more into the water. it was deeper and I could feel my feet sink into the sand under the water. Then I felt someone grab me.

Me: ahh! let go! let go!

Someone: I'm trying to help you! You don't wanna go in at this time of night!

I quickly realized that voice, and I spun around. I was greeted by his concerned face that usually holds a huge contagious smile.

Me: Omg! Keaton you scared me to death!

Keaton: You didn't hear me warn you like a minute ago? I thought you heard me but you walked in anyway. I thought you knew I was here.

Me: No sorry I didn't hear you. (Your lying to him Nyela I thought to myself)

Keaton: Why aren't you hanging out with the group? I thought you would be with Devan since you two are close.

Me: eh I'm not really the overly social type. Plus the water just looked so beautiful.

That's when I saw the familiar smile of Keaton. That smile that could just make you melt and want to smile back.

Keaton: You like the water? I thought Devan said you were afraid?

Me: Just because your afraid of something doesn't mean you can find beauty in it.

That statement was so true! I mean I was afraid of Keaton, not in a scared way like seeing a monster or something. I was scared of liking him, and embarrassing myself in front of him, which I tend to do on a regular basis.
