Chapter 14: Life is a video game.

(Nyela's POV)

I decided taking Devan shopping would be good for her. which is beyond me! I mean Devan is one of the most difficult people to shop with. Every two seconds you hear, " Omg Nyela this will look so cute on you!" or "Your butt would look perfect in these jeans!"  I'm not really the type who want to run around looking at whatever Devan wants to look at.  Although, I don't mind going to a mall for video games, shoes, or boys! Those must be my favorite items in the universe, well besides maybe food....or something along those lines.

We had already been to multiple stores and well..... I had been waiting for the moment when I saw that beautiful GameStop sign! The red and white letters glowing in front of my eyes! You see why can't life be a video game? You get missions, guns, awesome vehicles! That sounds like an amazing life to me! As we came out of the 30th story we had gone into, we turned a corner and I was greeted by Heaven. There was the beautiful game stop sign I'd been waiting to see.

I totally ditched Devan and started to jog myself over to the GameStop when I saw none other than Keaton and Wesley, with a few of their friends. I threw my ass on the ground at that moment. I began to talk to myself, " Alright Nyela! Devise a plan!"   I looked around and saw a card board cut-out. I got my body into army crawl position and made my way over to the cut-out to hide.  "Good job Nyela! You look like some sexy shit out of Call of Duty!" I mumbled to myself. As I positioned my self I noticed Devan looking at me. " hide! " I mouthed to her. Devan wrinkled her eyebrows, 'what?" she mouthed back.

She did as I told her and threw her self to the floor. I tried not to laugh , but not to be rude she looked like someone throwing a whale back in to the ocean! I wanted to scream, " Free Willy! " but I thought that wouldn't be a good idea.

She began to make her way over, when someone moved in her way. I slowly focused on who it was. Oh shit! Drew is here too!? Oh no this is not going to be good! Devan wasn't that close to me but I could hear a little of the conversation. It didn't seem like she needed my help so I decided to stay here.

Keaton, Wesley, and their friends all walked out with their bagged items. They started to crowd around Devan and Drew. Dammit I cant see jack squat behind them!

  It was a little bit later when I saw Devan pop her head over the crowd. Talking to her was out of the question though. I squeezed myself a little more to fit behind these cut-outs, just to be on the safe side.

As I was patiently waiting the cardboard started to move, and their he was looking down at me. Keaton was smiling and started to burst out in laughter. " Nyela what are you doing?" he chuckled.

Quickly I thought of a smart answer. " I was trying to scope the area."  Keaton's face looked back at me with wide eyes. " why would you be scoping out the area.  I hesitated," Well... I read on the news that their were game thieves."  Keaton's threw his head back in laughter. When his laughter ceased he stuck his hand out to help me off the ground. "  Nyela, you know you are a terrible liar!"

How did he know I was lying? Did he really think I would hid from him? well... if he did he was right, because that was exactly my intention!

" Psshhh! I wasn't lying! I'm so serious Keaton. There really is this group of teens stealing video games."  He looked at me for a while then replied," You know you should just admit it."

" Fine! I admit it Keaton! I was hiding, you caught me!" I sarcastically blurted out.

" See was that so hard?"

" Yeah, actually it was!" I said informingly.

I looked over Keaton's shoulder, and everyone was watching us! " Nothing to see here people!" I said in a joking manner. They all started to chant, " Kiss" and Keaton raised an eyebrow at me. " Should we?" he said in a sexy tone.

Now that sent me on edge, gosh he just can't do that  to me! I shook my head yes and he got closer. Our bodies were so close that a crack of light wouldn't be seen. He placed his hands on my hips and kissed me. The movement of his tongue sliding against mine , made me just want to throw him the comb number to my chastity belt!

Keaton pulled away and smiled. "I'm glad you get to stay Nyela."

"I'm glad I get to stay too."

" Want to go out tonight? There's this really cool trail that Drew is going to with Wes, I'm sure Drew will invite Dev."

I replied to him so fast, " Yeah I am definitely in!"

He threw his arm around me and walked out of the mall Following Drew and Devan towards the car.
