Chapter 10

Aaron's POV

    I woke up to see Aphmau still asleep. I heard light snores coming from her. She turned and faced me.

    "Good morning my prince," Aphmau stated, her eyes fluttering open.

    "Good morning my princess," I kissed her nose. Aph gave a soft giggle. I looked into her hazel eyes. I couldn't look away.

    "Aaron, there's been something I've been wanting to ask you," she said quietly.

    "Yes my dear?"

    "Since you have to go to work today, I was wondering if I could watch Jacob?"

    "He would love that very much," I replied.

"Yay, I am going to go make some breakfast. You sir should take a shower and get ready for work. It should be done by the time you get out,"Aphmau smiled.

"Alrighty then,"I rolled my eyes.
Aphmau got out of bed and left the room. I got up and took my shower.

Aphmau's POV

I walked out of the room and closed the door behind me. I went into Jacobs room and sat on the foot of his bed. I looked at him for a little bit. Then, I thought it was time to get up for him too so he could eat breakfast.

"Jacob, buddy, it's time to get up," I said getting off the foot of his bed and walking over to where his he'd lie.

"Five more minutes," he mumbled.

" I am going to come back up to get you when breakfast is done okay?" I told him.

"Okay ," he replied sleepily.

I left Jacobs room and went downstairs into the kitchen. I made pancakes with bacon. I set the plates down and filled the glasses on the counter with orange juice.

I walked back upstairs to get Jacob, but Aaron was in his room. I knocked. Aaron turned around and smiled.

"Hey Aph. I was just getting Jacob up," he said.

"I was just about to do the same. You beat me to it though," I laughed quietly.

Jacob sat up. He rubbed his eyes and yawned," Good morning."

"Good morning Jacob," Aaron and I said at the same time.

Aaron picked him up and carried him downstairs. I followed. Aaron placed Jacob in a chair with food and he had wide eyes.

"Thank you mommy,"Jacob said happily.

I blushed. Aaron looked at me and smiled. I know what he's going to say. "Jacob, Aphmah isn't your mom," he blushed.

"Oh right, I am sorry,"Jacob apologized. "It's just that you're a lot better than Lily. She wasn't the best cook. And at that she never cooked anything like this for me. She only did it for daddy."

I was shocked at those words. "I'll make you breakfast everyday if you want me to. But your daddy is a better cook than I am," I stated.

"Daddy can cook? He never cooked," Jacob questioned my words.

Aaron's face was pale. "Let's eat. I am getting hungry and the food smells amazing," Aaron stated.

"Let's," I say sitting down. Aaron does the same. We enjoyed our meal.

After breakfast

"I have to head off to work. Jacob be on your best behavior for Aphmau okay?" Aaron said.

"I promise to be good sir,"Jacob saluted to Aaron.

"That's my boy. Bye Aphmau," he gave me a kiss. "Bye Jacob," he said ruffling his hair.

Aaron left the house leaving me and Jacob alone.
