Chapter two: Shailene Diann Woodley

Theo's POV

Today's the day. I finally get to see Shai after these long months. It's been torture not seeing her beautiful hazel eyes, her bright smile, to feel her hugs, to feel her bright positivity around me everyday. I know I shouldn't be thinking those things about Shailene but I can't help it. She's so perfect.

I can't have her though, she only sees me as a best friend and nothing more, why would she see me as anything more she has Nahko, and I have Ruth.

Don't get me wrong I love Ruth, but its just not the same anymore with her. I don't feel the way I feel around her as I do with Shai. Ruth has made me happy for quite a few years but Shailene has made me even more happier in only a few months.

I love Shai more then anything but I can't tell anyone because we are costars, we are meant to play a role in a movie not fall in love....right?

It's around noon when I decide to start on my project. I had already flew into Atlanta yesterday morning after spending a few months with my family in England. It was nice to see my family again, I don't get to see them much due to my acting career so when I get the chance to see them I spend almost every minute with them. I spent a few days with Ruth when she came to visit me and my family but not very long.

My family has never been a big fan of Ruth but they have never said anything. She can be snobby sometimes, and she wears a ton of makeup all the time, and she's also very self centered. I know I shouldn't think those things about my girlfriend but when we first started dating I always thought, well no ones perfect right? But then when I met Shai that thought went away completely, because no matter what people say Shai's perfect, I just wish she could be mine.

God I miss Shai. These past few months she hasn't been talking to me and it killed me. I missed her beautiful face everyday. God she's so fucking beautiful.

Damn it Theo you have a girlfriend, stop thinking that way. My mind tells me.

It's hard not to think of Shai that way. She's beautiful, not just her looks but her personality.

I'm guessing Shai's on the plane right now to get here. I know she's been staying with Nahko in Hawaii.

That little prick had to take my girl.

I know Nahko makes Shai happy, but goddamn it, I should be the one making her happy, not him. I know I have a girlfriend but I don't plan on that lasting much longer.

I go down to the front desk to ask if I can get a room key to Shai's room. I plan on surprising her with a welcome back dinner. I plan on making her some real food. Not that organic shit she likes to eat. She needs real meat. I plan on making her a home made salad with steak and potatoes. Hopefully she will like my cooking.

It wasn't to hard to get Shai's room key. We spent a lot of nights at each others hotel rooms during the divergent filming process.

As I'm walking down to my room I get a text. I rush to see who it's from, a smile makes its way to my face thinking it could be Shai, but that smile slowly fades when I see its from Ruth.

Are you busy babe? -Ruth

No why? -Theo

As soon as I send that text a few seconds later my phone starts ringing, a call from Ruth. Sighing I answer my phone.

"Hello."

"Hey babe, just seeing what you were up too." Ruth has a really thick Irish accent, it's hard to understand her over the phone sometimes.

"Just getting a surprise ready for someone." I mumble hoping this conversation ends quickly, I still have to go to the store to get the food for Shai.

"Oooooh who's the surprise for?" She sounds excited. "Is it for me Theo?" You can hear the happiness in her words. Of course she would think its for her, that's who she ever thinks about, herself.

"No, it's for Shai." I say quite angered that she thought it was for her, once again.

"Oh, yea, her." She mumbles, you can hear the sarcasm in her voice.

"I have to go Ruth, I need to finish unpacking and get everything ready for tonight." I hurry hoping she catches my hint to get off the phone.

"Oh ok, well I love you Theo. I'll talk to you soon."

"Ok. Love you too." I mumble the last part.

"Bye." She hangs up. Lately when I've been saying I love you to Ruth I've been wishing it was Shailene, I know that's bad to do but I can't help it. I love Shai, not just as a best friend but more.

It's around 7:30 when I decide to text Shai, telling her not to eat once she gets off the plane. I know she will be hungry but I want to make dinner for her.

I went to the store and bought everything i needed, steaks, potatoes, seasonings, lettuce, everything else for a salad, and I also bought some flowers for her, I just hope she likes them.

I get everything ready in her apartment, setting the table, getting the food ready, and I even put on some of the cologne she likes me to wear.

Right now I'm wearing a plaid button down shirt, with some dark washed jeans. My beard is all shaved due to filming, obviously Four doesn't have a beard.

I go to the kitchen and clean up everything once I'm done setting the table.

I look down at my phone and it reads 8:00. She should be here any minute.

I stand a few steps from the doorway, waiting for the beautiful Shailene.

I look through my phone for the time being, that us until I hear someone outside the door. As soon as she opens the door I'm greeted with her beautiful Hazel eyes.

"I hope your hungry love."

A/N

Just a reminder I do not see Ruth like that in real life. She obviously is a really nice person who makes Theo happy. I just had to add in some drama since this is a Sheo fanfic.
