Shai's POV
I jog over to everyone else, not meeting eyes with Theo. I haven't seem him for 6 days. Meanwhile over that time I told Mike out trainer that I had a family emergency in California. I didn't go to California, instead I went to Honolulu Hawaii, to face Nahko.

"Hello, Nahko?" I whisper into the phone.
"Hey babe, why are you whispering?"
"I need you to come get me from the airport, I'm in Honolulu and I don't want people recognizing me." I whisper again, so far no one has noticed me.
"Ok..... I'll be there in a few minutes." He sounds unsure.
"Ok..." I take a shaky breath. He hangs up shortly after. What to do until he comes, I would to not get noticed, considering I'm not even supposed to be here.
I walk out of the airport and wait for Nahko, it's easy to spot his van in all the traffic. It has big baby blue letters Nahko and the Medicine for the People. It's the van his band travels in. When he pulls over I throw my back pack into the van and climb in, not wanting him to get out. I need to talk to him now.
"Hey Shai, what are you doing here?" He looks over at me questionably.
"Um.... just drive us back to your house please, I would like to speak there." I whisper, choking on my own words. I know what I need to say will hurt Nahko but he needs to know.
"Ok, everything ok Shai?"
"No, nothing's ok." I whisper, more to myself then to Nahko.

"Shailene Woodley, you in there?" Miles yells in my face.
"Yeah I'm in here." I respond, shaking my head to dismiss my thoughts.
"Mike told us our partners for today, did you hear what he said?" He keeps looking at me, almost like I've lost my mind.
"Um...no?" I quietly mumble.
"He said you and Theo are partners....." He trails off, Miles is the only one who knows what happened with me and Theo, though he doesn't know about me going to see Nahko.
"Oh great." I mumble, I don't want to see Theo right now.
"Teller get to your partner, you too Woodley!" Mikes voice booms throughout the wear house.
"Yes sir." We reply, sorta in a mocking tone.
I walk slowly over to Theo, not wanting to meet those chocolate brown eyes of his.
"Shai," He starts but I'm soon to cut him off.
"I don't want to talk Theo not now, not here. Meet me in my room at 11, ok?" I finally look up at him. I see so much sadness in his eyes, so much dread.
"Of course Shai." He slightly smiles that deadly smile, that's when I knew I couldn't keep this act up for long.

"Shai, what is it, your starting to scare me." Nahko sits beside me on his soft, plush, brown couch.
"There's something you need to know..." I drift off not wanting to tell him what's wrong.
"Shai, you can tell me anything." He pulls me into his chest. I lay my head softly over his heart to hear his heartbeat, it calms me slightly.
"Nahko, I can't be with you anymore." I whisper into his chest, I sound off, like I'm not myself anymore.
"What?" He tenses around me. I escape from his embrace, not wanting him to hold me while I tell him this.
"I'm so sorry Nahko." I let a tear escape down my cheek, I don't bother stopping it.
"Is this about Theo?" His whispers, slightly angry.
"Yes." I simply reply. He takes deep breaths before answering me.
"Why?" He looks at me, small tears forming in his eyes.
"Because I'm in love with him." I whisper looking down, I let the loose tears run down my cheek.
"Shai." He walks over to me and lifts my chin up, wiping away the tears for me. "It's ok Shai, I understand."
"Nahko I'm so sorr-" I'm quickly cut off.
"No need to apologize to me Shai, I understand you can't help but love him. You don't get to choose who you fall in love with, that's the beauty of it right?" He looks at me softly. I nod.
"I remember a certain young lady telling me that once." He chuckles softly.
"Thank you Nahko." I whisper bringing him tight into my embrace.
"It's no problem Shai, but now you have to do something for me?" He looks at me with a small smile.
"Anything."
"Go get your guy."

It's nearing 11, almost time for Theo to arrive. I make some tea knowing this conversation will be stressful, and Theo also loves my tea.
There's a soft knock on the door before it slowly opens, and there stands Theo James.
"Come in." I grab a glass for Theo knowing he will want some tea. When I turn around to hand Theo his cup, I'm smashed into his arms.
"Shai, please stop avoiding me, I can't stand not being around you. I've been miserable these past few days." His rich voice sounds muffled by his head buried in my hair. I sigh.
"Theo, we need to talk." I push him away lightly, but he gets the idea.
"Of course." His chocolate brown eyes stare deep into mine, I get lost in them so easy, I forget what I wanted to talk to him about. He chuckles, grabbing my hand and my cup and taking us into the living room. I sit down with my legs thrown over his thighs. I take a sip of my tea before I speak.
"So Theo do you have something you want to tell me." I look at him in the eyes, not wanting to see love and passion in them like I do.
"No why? Love what's wrong." He tries to drawl patterns on my thigh but I don't allow him.
"So you don't want to tell me that your engaged to Ruth?"
