Chapter five: I miss you

Theo's POV

It's been 5 days since I've seen Shai. It's been torture. I'm so mad at myself for letting it slip. I knew she wouldn't want to be friends with me if she found that out. She hasn't texted me at all. She hasn't called me at all. Ruth has been calling and texting me, but all I do is ignore it. I don't want to talk to Ruth. I know I want to break it off with her but not over the phone, it's rude to do it over the phone. If your not man enough to do it in person then you aren't a man.

I love Ruth but it hasn't been the same since I met Shai. Shai is just perfect. I know I say that a lot about her but why not? Nobody in this world is perfect and its amazing that I found someone that is.

I'm hoping I get to see Shai tomorrow at training. Even if she doesn't want to look at me then that's fine, I just want to know she's ok.

It's around 6 when I'm laying in bed. This is what I do most days, just lay in bed, why not I have a awesome king sized bed with maroon sheets. It matches the rest of the bathroom perfectly. The rooms walls are painted a dark brown and there's a small fireplace in one corner of the room. It's more of an apartment then it is a room.

Sighing I get up to walk into the kitchen, I need to eat something before I go over my lines. I grab some leftover pizza from last night and heat it up. While that's heating I go into the living room and grab my script. Tomorrow is the last day of training and then we start filming the first scene.

I walk back into the kitchen with my script in my hand and grab my pizza. As I'm walking back into my bedroom my phone starts ringing in my pocket. I groan seeing its Ruth calling me once again, I should probably answer it.

"Hello." My voice sounds muffled from the pizza in my mouth.

"Finally you answered, why haven't you been answering my calls or texts?"

"I've been busy." I mumble, not really caring that I'm lying to her.

"Oh....With what?" She sounds quite pissed.

"Oh you know just training and going over lines." I stuff more pizza into my mouth.

"With her?" She makes sure to put an emphasis on 'her'.

"That her has a name Ruth." I spit, angry she won't even call Shai by her name.

"Oh I'm sorry, I meant with Shai." You can hear the sarcasm oozing out of her.

"Yes with Shai. We actually had a lovely dinner last night. I cooked for her and everything." I know that's a lie but I want to see how Ruth will react. I never cook for her, and when I do she never eats it.

"You cooked for her?" She sounds hurt.

"Yes I did and she actually ate my cooking." I mumbled.

"I have to go." I can hear her sniffle on the other end

"Ok. I have to go take a shower anyway."

"Bye." And with that she hangs up.

It's 7am when my alarm clock goes off, telling me to wake up for training. I get up and shut the damn thing up. If you can't tell I'm not much of a morning person.

I grab my clothes and head into the bathroom to take a shower. I take a quick one so I won't be late to training. I was supposed to have training all week but I've been sick. I actually have been sick, not throwing up but I've had headaches and some nausea.

Once I'm out of the shower and fully clothed I walk into my kitchen to grab breakfast. It's only 7:40 so I still have 10 minuets before I have to leave.

I'm kinda nervous to see Shai today. What if she hates me? What if she doesn't want to be friends anymore after I told her I loved her? I keep making up what if's in my head.

I sigh, shaking my head to get the thoughts out. I finish my muffin and head out the door. I'm walking down the hallway when I stop and think. Maybe I should see if Shai wants a ride. I head back to her door that's right across from mine and knock. There's no answer so I knock one more time. When there isn't an answer the second time I try to open the door but its locked. That's weird Shai never locks her door.

Oh we'll maybe she's already on her way to training. I head down the elevator and get in my big ass jeep. Yes I rented a big ass jeep, I'm a jeep loving guy. I turn on the radio and softly sing along with it.

"Hey Theo! I see your finally not sick!" Miles yells at me from across the room. I walk up to him and give him one of our classic bro hugs.

"Yea man I just didn't feel good these past few days." I've gotten into my American accent for the movie. I like to do it a few days ahead so it doesn't sound so rough.

"I see your back to American Theo." He chuckles.

"Yea, since filming is starting soon."

"Hey Theo my main Brit boy!" Zoe calls for me walking up to us. We are all starting to gather.

"Hey Zoe." Me and Miles say in unison. As I look around more and more people gather around, everyone except Shai, where is she?

"Ok everybody gather around while I do roll call." Mike our trainer yells. Yes we do roll call like kindergarten. I tune him out while I look for Shai. Where the heck is she?

"Theo!" Mike yells.

"Here." I yell back.

"Shailene!" Mike looks around for Shai. Everybody looks around not seeing her

"Has anybody seen Shai?" Miles is the one to yell out this time.

"I'm here! I'm here!" As those words leave her lips the beautiful Shailene steps through the doors.
