Chapter 6
Charlie's POV
After running into Shawn at the park last night, I dropped Jeremy off at his house, and went home to the little townhouse I lived in all by myself. Yes, I live by myself, but we'll get more into that later. Just for the record, I'm a black belt in mixed martial arts, and I have knives and guns stashed around the house. You know, because I'm a 'helpless little teenage girl' living by herself. I can take care of myself and my boys are always there to back me up. I got home and noticed that I had forgotten my backpack at the park so I went back to get it. While I was there I noticed a shadow, it seemed like someone was playing guitar and singing in the park. They were pretty good, too. I listened for a while, then realized I had homework and rushed home.
Next morning
I woke up late this morning, and had to rush. I flung on some clothes that weren't on my floor, slicked my hair into a ponytail, and gulped down a couple of Pop-tarts as I drove as fast as was safe to school. I got there right as the first warning bell rang. Shit! I ran out of my truck, to my locker, and then hurried to first period. I hit my seat right as the tardy bell rang and Mrs. Locke walked in. "Good morning class." She went on to say that we must have the first Act of Romeo and Juliet read by the day after tomorrow. I had already finished, but a lot of others took this day's class time to read some. I just doodled in my notebook the entire period, because my boys were reading. Slackers.
Nothing interesting happened until lunch, when Shawn walked over and sat down at the table with me and my boys. The rest of the female population looked at me with jealousy while I sat there shell shocked. I had told the guys how he had been flirting with me, so Jason took it into his own hands to have a little fun. "Baby!" he shrieked as he got out of his seat and went to sit on Shawn's lap. "I thought you were gonna keep our relationship a secret, but instead you came over and sat with me! YAY! Now we can be free with our love." He then proceeded to stick a sloppy kiss right smack on Shawn's mouth. The boys and I started laughing and I actually fell outta me chair laughing so hard. I'm pretty sure Shawn's eyes literally popped out of his head.
Today just got way more interesting, especially since most of the girls that had been looking at me with jealousy had actually started to cry. Shawn looked furious and I'm pretty sure I'll get hell in Biology, but right now it's still too funny for me to care that much.
