Chapter 7
Shawn's POV
I'm going to kill Charlie! She put her little friend up to a little stunt during lunch that made it seem like I was having a secret gay relationship. He also kissed me! I feel so disgusting...Ugh. I stormed into Biology and saw Charlie sitting in her seat at our table. She looked up at me and smirked, "I knew there was something a little...off about you." "You!" I roared. "You put your little friend up to this. What the hell have I ever done to you?" She started to.....laugh? The chick was laughing at me! "I didn't put him up to it, he did it on his own because I told all the guys that you've been flirting with me." My jaw dropped. She told them that?! "I have not been flirting with you!" I looked down as I felt my face heat up.
She started laughing even harder, "You're blushing, and you are a horrible liar." I felt my face burn harder. The bell rang and the teacher walked in. "Sit down, class. Today we are going to dissect a squid..."
~After school~
I walk out to my motorcycle parked in front of the school, and what I see really pisses me off. Someone had taped a bunch of notes to my baby saying things like 'Gay', 'Fag', 'go die', and they had slashed my tires!!! I looked around for someone that could hopefully give me a ride. Charlie's truck was parked right next to my bike but I didn't see her yet, so I leaned against her truck and waited. And waited. And waited.
Finally, she walks out carrying her bag and looking for her keys. She glances up and notices me. Her eyes widen in surprise for just a second then she asks coolly, "May I help you?" I pointed to my bike and said, "Because of your friend's stunt everyone thinks I'm gay, and well, that happened. So I kinda need a ride." She pressed her hand to her mouth, "Damn it! I'm sorry. I'll drive you to and from school until you can get new tires. This is my fault. Come on, help me get it in the bed." She unlocked her truck, tossed her bag in, let down the tailgate, and grabbed the handlebars of my bike. I grabbed the back end, and between us, with a lot of shoving and grunting, we got my baby in the bed of her truck. She shut the tailgate, and hopped in the driver's side, literally.
We rode in silence for a little bit until she looked over at me, "You do realize I have no clue where I'm going, right?" I rattled off my address and she looked over at me. "That apartment building is right behind my house, as in it's my backyard. Well, looks like I won't be doing too much extra driving around like I thought." She started laughing. She pulled into her driveway, and we put my bike in her little garage. She went into
her house and I went up to my apartment. Now for the fun part, homework. Whoo.... not.
