“Lee.” Someone whispers, shaking my bed a bit.“Go away.”
“Lee, wake up. You're going to be late for breakfast.” I groan and pull my blanket over my head. Now it's not really the time to wake up, but then water falls on my face. My eyes open immediately and I hop off my bed.
“What in the name of … what was that for?!” I wipe some off the water from my face, not daring to look at the culprit of this action.
“You wouldn't wake up, besides, Barnes asked me to get you.” one of the blondes said, while looking at the ends of her hair.
“freaking Barnes.” I whisper and begin to get ready for another long day. “Hey Tasha, have you seen my other earring?” I asked as I kept searching for the missing jewelry piece. “Ana?” I look over at her bed and frown. Her bed was made already, but her books were still there. Odd. I quickly put my hair in a bun , shrug it off and grab my bag, making my way out to the halls and towards the Great Hall.
“Hey Clover.”
“Hey Kilian. Have you seen Ana?”
“I thought she was with you. “ I frown as we made our way to the front, towards our usual spot. Kilian reaches for an apple and puts it on his plate. I just stare at him with a raised eyebrow as he takes a bite out of it. “What?”
“nothing” I grab a banana and some cereal, thankful that there was at least something light to eat. We ate in silence, the both of us looking around to see if we could find Anastasia anywhere.
“ppsh, Teddy!” I grab a grape and throw it at his head. He rubs his head and looks at me with a confused look. “have you seen Ana?” He shakes his head. I frown and let out a frustrated sigh. She was never late for breakfast, now she probably will be late for class. I spent the remaining time thinking where she might be.
“Let's go, Clo. We gotta go to class.”
“Okay, let's go.” making our way towards the end of the hall.
Classes flew, Dinner arrived, and Ana? Well, she was nowhere to be seen. I frowned as I looked at the peas that rolled on my plate.
“What's wrong?” Kilian asks, taking a big bite of his chicken leg.
“I haven't seen Ana all day, and it's odd… very odd.”
“Maybe she got sick and went to bed.”
“I seriously doubt it. She wouldn't miss a class, I swear.”
“Maybe you're just worried.” I roll my eyes.
“Of course I am, you nitwit.”
“No need for harsh words. Maybe she's back. Wanna go to the common room? We can finish our homework early and just chill.” I nod, agreeing and hoping that Ana was there so I could pass the notes to her.
“Clover!” I turn around and look at Teddy as he makes his way towards us. “Hey, where's Little Brown?”
“I don't know. Haven't seen her all day. Me and Killian are actually going to the common room to see if she's there.”
“Let me know if she's there, alright?” I nod and he gives me a quick hug before going towards his Hufflepuff friends. Killian grabs the end of my sleeve and we walk quickly towards the common room.
“TASHA?!” I yell as we pass the door. I put my things down at a desk and walk towards the girls dormitory. “Ana?” no response. I frown, and walk back to Killian. “Not here.”
“Maybe she went out. Come on, let's finish this so she doesn't get mad at you.” I agree with the decision and we sit on the sofa, taking out our potions book and start writing the assigned essay. Hours passed, students were either studying or sleeping around us, so it was fairly quiet. I yawned, which made Kilian yawn. I let out a chuckle and I slam the book close, causing half of the sleeping students to wake up.
“Damn, okay, no need to wake up the entire castle, Clover.”
“I'm going to bed. Send someone if Ana comes back.” though I seriously doubt it since it's way past curfew, I added in my mind. I quickly change out of my uniform and into my regular pajamas. Laying down in bed, getting more comfortable, my hands touch something, making the thing swish against my pillow. I lift up my pillow, looking at my bed in confusion where a paper was now crumpled up. I grab my wand and whispered lumos , before pointing it towards the paper.
Clover.
Ana's handwriting was across the paper. Why would she leave me a letter? When did she enter? I stare at the paper in confusion as I slowly open it, and laid the paper flat on the bed.
Clover,
I know I just rushed out of the dorm without explanation but I don’t want anyone knowing what i’m doing. I’m going to meet Albus Potter and Professor Longbottom at the Gryffindor Tower.Longbottom said he’s going to help me find my family...I don’t trust him, but he’s the only choice I got. They asked me not to say anything, but I don’t know where they will take me, or how long i’ll be gone. I’ll need you to sneak me back inside. I know you can find a way, now that you’ve entered McGonagall’s office. Don’t touch my assignments! If I’m not back by morning...come find me...
Love you,
‘Tasha.
Ps: Beware McGonagall...She cannot find out about this.
I read the letter once more, slip on my shoes and rushed towards Kilian, hoping he was still in the sofa. I stand in front of him, and his eyes meet mine, a flash of worry passes his eyes quickly.
“Clover?” I hand him the letter and he reads it over. “We’ll get in trouble, maybe even expelled. Can't it wait till morning?”
“She left it yesterday, and she's not back. I know we can get caught and in trouble, maybe even expelled, but are you up to it?” He sighs and stands up, grabbing his wand. I smile widely, as he put on his robe back on.
“Let's do it.” I grab his hand and we rush out the door.
