26. Prom? {clean}
I lay in bed face up, with a sleeping Ryan, face down and his arm casually draped over my waist.
I slipped out of his hold and pushed a pillow into his arms, watching him cuddle it and pout. I giggled and walked into the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth and took a shower. I walked out into my closet and picked out my outfit. It was supposed to be hot today, so I should wear shorts.
I picked out a pair of light blue shorts and a white t-shirt. I grabbed my gold sandals and walked back into the bathroom.
I sprayed sea salt in my hair and put a black headband in my hair.
I walked into the room and woke Ryan up.
"Ry, wake up. We've got school today." I kissed his cheek.
"No." He mumbled cuddling his face into the pillow. I rubbed his back and he grabbed my waist and hugged me. My hair cascaded over his shoulder as I lay under him. I brushed his hair out of his eyes and kissed his forehead.
"Baby, get up. We're gonna be late." I shook him. He grunted out of annoyance and got up. He walked into the closet and pulled out khaki shorts and a white Vans muscle tee. He grabbed a pair of black Nike socks and his black and white Vans. He clobbered back over to the bed and fell back down. He mumbled something, but it was smothered by my blankets.
"What?" I asked.
"Can you hand me my SnapBack?" He lifted his head up. I nodded and reached over and grabbed his black SnapBack of the rack.
We walked downstairs and made ourselves cereal and left the house. We hopped in my car and headed to school. He rolled his seat back and rested the whole twenty-minute ride. When we got to school I opened the door and told Ryan to wake up. Again. He yawned and got out the car, grabbing my hand and interlocking our fingers. We walked into school with our backpacks on our backs and walked to my locker.
"I'm gonna go and get my stuff out my locker. Meet me there, okay." I nodded and he bent down and pecked my cheek. After I got all my stuff, I made my way over to Ryan's locker and saw something that made me smile.
Ryan was pulling out a white Rose corsage. He smiled down at it and put it back in his locker. I walked up to him, pretending I didn't see anything. I stood on my tippy toes and pecked his cheek.
"Hey," I smiled. He smiled at me and shook his head. "I've got something for you." He pulled out the corsage and a bouquet of pink and orange roses. He handed them to me and kissed my cheek softly.
"Will you go to prom with me, next week? I know I asked already, but I didn't do it properly." He squeezed my hand, making everyone look at us and silence to settle in.
"Ye--"
"Ryan, hey babe. How's it been? Anyway, let's cut to the chase. Prom?" Grace came up and shoved her body between me and Ryan. She pushed me and dropped all my things on my things ground. Including, me.
Ryan quickly dodged her and helped me off the floor with my stuff.
"So, prom?" He smiled. I smiled more and blushed.
"I'd love to." He bent down and pecked my lips. He wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me.
"Excuse me? But I just asked you to prom! How dare you pick that slut over me?" Grace's face turned red in spite of anger.
"Because I love her. She's my world. Even if you were the last girl on Earth, I wouldn't ask you. I'd pick Noah over you. No, I'd pick Noah over anyone." He smiled down at me, his hands firm on my waist pulling me closer. I kissed his nose and threw my arms around his neck.
