7. Birthday Surprise

I woke up feeling dazed with very heavy eyes. Why can't I just go back to sleep? I've got 2 minutes till my alarm for school. I'm just going to try and go back to sleep.

Ding..

I slapped my hand down on my clock. Did two minutes just go by in like point two seconds? Seriously?

"Good morning, sweetheart!" My dad screamed, in his sickening kind voice. Does he have a snooze button?

Ring Ding...

I pushed the button on my alarm clock, and got up and took a shower immediately. Today is the day, I am going to apologize Noah. In truth, I did know that we were childhood best friends. And I do regret just up and leaving her, but it had to be done. I took about 10 minutes in the shower, and as soon as I was done in the shower, I went to go pick out an outfit.

I decided on a pair of white jeans to match my green shirt and my green and grey Nike Trainers. I walked over to my desk to retrieve my bookbag. I walked down stairs grabbed an apple and noticed I had about 20 minutes till I had to leave.

I finished the apple and threw it away. I ran upstairs, brushed my teeth and hair,  grabbed a jacket, and walked out my house. I walked next door to Noah's house and realized, I don't know what to say.

Before I could think of anything to say to her, she walked outside with a smile to the new car sitting in the driveway. Wait, today is her birthday! Now, she is officially 18.

I walked up to her and hugged her from behind.

"Um, hi stranger. I think you're hugging me?" She questioned. I turned her around and smiled down at her. She looked up and her face instantly fell, she pushed me off of her and got in her new black and white car. I knocked on the window but, she simply ignored it and drove off.

I turned around and walked to my truck. I guess, she doesn't want me as much as I want her. I'll just have to try harder.

I hopped out of the bed so that I couldn't be bothered about being late. I took a nice, long shower feeling nice and refreshed. I walked to my closet and picked out a knitted sweater, some jeans, a white tanktop, and a pair of my grey boots. I walked out of my room and walked down into my kitchen.

"Surprise!" My dad yelled. He was standing there with a stack of pancakes with a small pink candle in the middle.

"Awww! Thank you, daddy." I smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek.

"That's not all." He scoffed. He gave me a piece of paper. I opened it and it said, turn around <3. I turned around to find a brand new puppy, with another piece of paper in its mouth. I pet the puppy and played with it until it gave me the paper in its mouth. The paper read, go to the living room and peep under the sofa .P.S. I'm potty trained (; I had to giggle a little at that note.

I walked into the living room and looked under the sofa to find a key. It had a lot of curves and rivets in it. It was engraved. The engraving said, "When you were 8, we went to the cellar for bait, but what did in a place we put, a box we used to keep evidence of BigFoot?" I know this, me and my dad use to get bait so we could go to the woods to find bigfoot. It was usually locked because I thought people would come in our house and steal it. It's my bigfoot box.

I ran downstairs and instantly found the old and rusted box. I opened it and found a pair of keys in the box that said Happy Birthday!(;

I ran upstairs and ran outside to see a black and white Chevy Camaro 2013. I ran back inside and hugged the life out of my dad.

"I love you. I've gotta go, see you later." I wave frantically.

I walk outside and a weirdo comes up behind me and hugs me.

"Um, hi stranger. I think you're hugging me?" I giggled. The stranger backed up and turned me around. I saw it was Ryan smiling at me. I looked up and I pushed him away and got in my new car. I heard him tap on the glass, but I ignored it and sped out of my driveway.

Sigh, if only he knew how I felt.

Betrayed, that's how.
