16. Getting Hit And Escaping
I woke up in a bed and instantly remembered what happened. I looked down and saw that I was naked with Kevin's arm on my waist.
I realized the handcuffs were off, so I gently lifted his arm off me and replaced it with a pillow. I found one of my old shirts and shorts that I didn't know he had.
I tiptoed out the door and scurried through the halls and into the basement. I looked and saw all three of them. I continued to creep down the stairs, I saw Ryan snap his head up. I signaled him to hush as I made my way over to him.
I kneeled down and kissed him. He looked like he had been through Hell and back. I noticed he had no shirt on. I hugged him and he hissed out quietly.
I looked at him and saw blood, gashes, and whip marks.
"I tried fighting back. I thought I could get to you in time. But I was too late. I'm sorry, baby." He whimpered.
I shook my head and tears came out. He had dark circles under his eyes, blood wounds on his face, and his usual quiffed up hair was now disheveled and matted with his own blood.
I didn't undo his handcuffs because I knew Kevin would be looking for me.
"Listen, no matter what you hear don't fight back. I can't stand you being in so much pain. Don't come looking for me. Make sure you keep Demi safe. And make sure you and Jake are safe too. I love you all. I'm leaving okay, but I will be back. I love you so much!" I kissed him with as much love as I could put into a simple kiss.
I stood up and left. I jogged up the steps and made my way into the kitchen and started making breakfast, so Kevin would think that I was in the kitchen the whole time.
Kevin walked downstairs about 15 minutes later with a glare on his face. He looked at me and slapped me across the face. I heard it echo and felt the pain instantly.
"Don't you ever, and I mean EVER leave out of that room without me." He shouted. I nodded weakly and put my head down. I made the plate of pancakes and eggs, and set it in front of him.
I sat down next to him and didn't say a word.
"Listen, I'm just insecure and protective over you," That was it. My anger had scratched the surface.
"No! You're not! You just want me for yourself. You're not insecure, you're a selfish bastard! I regret every minute being with you! I thought you were different! But you're just like every other boy I've dated; selfish, childish, an-" He smacked me even harder. He smacked me so hard, I fell and hit my head against the counter. The sound echoed as I fell lifeless against the floor.

He hit her again. I can't do this knowing that she's getting hurt. I struggled and struggled and struggled until I broke the chains. I ran upstairs to find her on the floor with blood pooling at her head. I ran over to her and scooped her up in my arms and carried her down to the basement.
"Get a first aid kit." I told Demi. She rushed to get it, but brought it back none the less. Demi started dabbing alcohol on the wounds. She took the wrap and stopped the bleeding. She grabbed medical thread and a medical needle.
After she finished stitching up the wound, she put a bandage on it and said "She'll be fine just hide her here until we come up with a plan." She put the items back in the kit.
I looked down and observed the angel in my arms. I so badly wanted to see her blue-green eyes. Her blonde hair cascaded down to the ground in waves.
The door open so I quickly hid her and moved back to my place.
"Where is she?!" He growled out. I glared at him and said nothing.
He walked over and grab my jaw with his hand. I gripped his hand and squeezed as hard as I could. I heard an oddly, satisfying crack. He kneeled and I stood up and kneed him in the face.
"You kept us here for three fucking days!" I shouted over his yelps. I kneed him twice more, then jogged over and picked Noah up bridal style.
Demi helped Jake get out of his restraints. Jake grabbed Kevin by the neck and threw him where he once sat. He chained him to the ground and kicked him over.
We made our way upstairs and we saw the coast was clear. We walked out of the house and saw the woods in front of us.
"Okay, I say let's head towards the sun. We should make it back to the house" Jake said. We all agreed and hightailed it out if there.
{twenty minutes later}
We could see the back of Noah's house. We went in through the back door and we hurried upstairs into her room. Where we sat until she awoke.
{end}
