Chapter Four; A Problem Is Made

*so imma just skip to when Belukia attacks cause I'm a lazy mother fucker and I haven't slept and it's like six in the morning so deal with it, I might add it in later but not now.*

I screamed out in horror as the blood gushed violently from Ryusei's neck where he just received a bite from what I assume is another vampire with vibrant pink hair, my eyes filled with tears watching the pain spread across my friends face. No why him? Why now?

Wait, we have Kuro, he can do something about this right? My mind was racing as I crouched beside my friend who was still gushing blood but by what the man said he was apparently dead, no my friend, why would they do this to him out of all people?

Thousands of people were running from the scene as my group sat beside our friend trying anyway to keep him safe and to get help but with everyone running away there was not much we could do, I tried pulling up his shirt to cover up the wound in hopes the blood would stop but nothing. Koyuki held up the shirt instead for me as I couldn't hold back the tears, my hand it was completely covered in his blood.

The man who did this laughed like a mad man as he swung from a light post, almost like a monkey and Ryusei was his food. I stared back at him and my hand that was still dripping his blood, my mind became fascinated by how strange this substance was until I had been shoved back into reality to see the pink haired man being kicked in the face by none other than Kuro himself.

I knew he could do something about this until he all of a sudden changed back into his cat form and began to run off, okay well I know he wasn't much help but at least he bought us some time. I grabbed on to Mahiru and dragged him away as I ran after the black cat who lead us into an alleyway where the boy in my arms had successfully grabbed on his tail making him come to a full stop.

"There's no way I can hold my own against a crazy vampire like that one, we should go." My eyes widened as I tried peeking out to see the scene going on, it seemed Koyuki hadn't even paid any mind to our disappearance and the five second appearance of Kuro, he was still trying to stop Ryusei's bleeding and I couldn't find any sight of the other vampire.

Finally, I noticed the pink haired vampire began to walk out of a store he must've been pushed into after the powerful kick Kuro had sent his way, he began to make way over to Koyuki and Ryusei making it feel as though my eyes had popped out of their sockets, no he's going to hurt them. This can't be allowed!

I felt a force push against my shoulder and looked over to see Mahiru was now running at the pink haired man who was ready to hurt our friends once more. I glared at Kuro who had just allowed him to run off like that knowing there's a high chance he will get hurt.

"Just what are you thinking you dumb cat?" I yelled as I noticed Mahiru was now on the man's back as he tried to regain his posture so he could make a stab at one of the people who saved my life.

I growled and immediately ran over to the two and held on to the mans arm for dear life, trying to keep the sword from making any contact to somebody other than him, then he had overpowered me and just as I thought he was going to stab him Kuro came in clutch and had taken the stab for Mahiru.

I gasped in pure shock to see the sword was lodged in his side very badly but it didn't seem to have that big of an affect on him, he is a vampire after all, he shoved us all away from each other as I propped myself up on my elbows to watch him slowly remove the sword from himself making a comment on how he's basically just a cat, well you know except for being able to turn into a human, taking a sword to the side like its nothing, being immortal, eating all our food, having a very lazy attitude- oh wait that is a cat.

Seriously how do I distract myself in these kinds of situations so easily, I might as well be the most useless person you've ever seen. I don't like that one bit, it just means everyone's doing all the work to protect me making me a bother all over again.

Kuro tried to instruct us to leave, get out of here, run away before people like us who were useless got hurt. I growled at that statement, I'm not useless I'm always some sort of help in one way or another.

I sprinted off gaining the attention of the whole fighting scene and broke through a glass window to grab something I haven't touched in a while, a bow and arrow, I came back out to see I was still being watched as I put an arrow and began to draw back before yelling to get away because I wasn't useless and could handle this myself.

The arrow immediately vanished from my hand as it was now launching towards its target which had hit successfully proving that after all these years I still had the dead aim.

"No Mitsu! We're doing this together, Kuro! You with me?" Mahiru yelled out as he shoved his arm into our new vampire pet's teeth, no that's the one thing I wanted to avoid.

I stumbled back in pure shock wondering what he had just gotten himself into, well what I had made him get into for I was the one who brought home the cat. That was probably the worst mistake of my life.

That's when the chain link appeared connecting the two and Kuro was now in his fighting form and stance it seemed, I felt tears prick at my eyes as I heard it being said that Mahiru is now his eve, no, I don't want in this mess. Why?
