So I'm sorry for the long ten day wait, my brain has just been fried from a lot of writing and editing, also this chapter was probably the hardest to write, sorry about that I'll try putting out two chapters today. (If I even get this one out lmao)

"Mahiru, ever think the world was only created five minutes ago?" Sakuya questioned as I began to circle around the sloth pair with my arrow still drawn ready to be released at any moment, in reality I've only known this boy for two years so would killing him really be that difficult?

"No way? I have memories of the past? What if those memories were also seeded into you, what if I just became a sister to you in five minutes? Do you have proof that's impossible, sort of brother?" I questioned him, taunting slightly by using a nickname that he's always held dear to him, one that I've always found myself calling him but now the only nickname I can give him is a target on my list of people to kill for Tsubaki.

"When your mom died, what did I say to you?"

"Were Mitsu and I even there?"

The boys eyes widened even more although it didn't seem possible, all of the fake memories we created for him slowly starting to vanish seeing who was actually there for him all along, which didn't include the green haired boy or I.

"So Mahiru, just how much of your memories are a lie?" Sakuya spoke out loudly finally pulling out his weapons from his jacket, my feet immediately took steps back trying to causally look away from this all, even in my insane state I still can't bare to see this boy hurt and this will cause trouble for me.

I heard the boy's body almost fly across the area to attack him, my hand clenched tightly on to the arrow I still had drawn out and in reflex the shot only missed Sakuya by an inch but as my eyes glanced over to make sure it hadn't actually shot him I saw the blood his weapon drew on Kuro, not Mahiru.

Belkia had dropped down out of the sky, 'skewering' the servamp with his two swords but giving an awfully confused glance my way as he stood on top of Kuro's now limp body but as soon as I glared at him he immediately scurried away in fear once more.

My shot missed Sakuya, my shots never miss, I was supposed to shoot Mahiru, my shot missed.

"It's a lie that my close friends are vampires!" Mahiru shouted in what almost sounded like anger mixed with disbelief, if only he knew all the trouble he caused when he offered his hand to me, I wish he never did that, I wish I didn't long for a friend that day and dragged him into this mess by accepting his offer.

"Wouldn't it have been great if it was a lie? That vampires existed and Mitsu and I were vampires as well" I hadn't noticed Sakuya had flown in the air for a tiny bit after his hit towards Kuro but as he spoke he landed beside me with no words spoken out about how I came so close to shooting him, knowing that with my dead aim it mustn't have been an accident.

"People always try to believe the lie that's most convenient to them"

"And they also like to believe they are the hero of the story, their friends being the weaklings who need saving" the voices came crashing down on me again, no longer even able to decipher which thoughts were actually my own.

He believed I was weak, I was nothing but a bother to him, when have I ever helped, I'm a lost cause.

Stop it Mitsu.
