Chapter Twenty; Aliena White

~Six Months Past~

"Kuro!" a frightened brown haired boy shouted out for his Servamp among the crowd of subclasses willing to kill him in an instant, his Servamp laid weak across the ground as several subclasses that hadn't belonged to the Servamp of sloth jumped him in an unfriendly manner.

A soft chuckle could somehow be heard amidst all the fighting, the boy's simple brown eyes glanced up in a hurry towards the roof of a beaten down building, hoping this to be an ally of sorts and not the owner of the subclasses. An easily noticeable gasp left his thin lips as he could easily recognize that face from anywhere.

"Gluttony." The girl smirked with her head cocked to the side, a knife held in front of her as the moonlight shined down on it proving this was a serious crime of hers, the man that crouched down beside her gave out a low growl at the sound of her voice before the pair jumped down from the building.

Swipe after swipe of her knife and bite after bite from the man the two had managed to take down the subclasses as they vanished into dust around them as the girl simply twirled the knife in her hand in a mischievous way as to show how arrogant she truly was.

A poof was seen and heard as the man's figure that once stood beside her now turned into one of a small pig which she simply scooped up in her frail arms before placing the animal in a bag that wasn't so plainly noticed on her person before.

In a very cautious manner as to not scare the already frightened boy, she made her way over to him with an arm extended out and an open palm waiting for a handshake so they could properly introduce each other.

Once his hesitant hand enveloped hers she finally began to speak her title in a a formal manner to him unlike the speedy introduction from before, "I'm Aliena White, Eve to the Servamp of Gluttony. It's very pleasant to see you again Shirota." an amused smirk stretched across her face once she witnessed the astonished expression grow onto the simply boy's face.

"There is no possible way I can believe your story. It's impossible for a subclass to become human, let alone an Eve!" My eyes rolled at the bastard's comment, even after my actions of saving Mahiru's rear end he still can't seem to find any trust for me.

"It's true, unfortunately she's my Eve." Gluttony spoke from beside me as food was still hanging from his mouth, I shuddered in disgust at such a sight still not getting used to it even after all these months, his words took a few minutes to register before I glared at him.

The plate ended up being swiped off the table by my own hand causing the man beside me to grow easily frustrated and as he was about to pounce on me I raised my hand to his chest, he was in midair before I pushed him resulting in the man of gluttony to fall to the ground.

Far off in corner sat the boy I've called my sort of brother for two years, the boy who now couldn't even bare to glance at me believing I've changed but in a bad way.

My elbows found way back on to the table as I slumped over in a defeated manner, it wasn't a goal of mine to become this way but in order to not be a bother I must put myself out there as a strong and arrogant bitch.

Tell me, who would want to help a know it all that won't even give you the light of gratitude? No one and that's the point of my personality.

"I believe you big sis Mitsu." Sendagaya spoke from where he sat in front of the TV, his hands placed on top of a towel which he rubbed all over Hugh's head in order to dry him off, a cheerful huff left my lips at the easygoing boy.

"My name's Aliena, Sendagaya." he nodded his head in response to show the understanding he had, a curious glare was sent my way by the purple haired boy with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Why is your name no longer Mitsu?" I closed my eyes, expecting this question to be asked at some point but there was still no way for me to answer, a metal piece found way in between my finger tips as I gently rubbed at the pendant hanging from around my neck.

Instantly the chair I sat on was pushed behind me as I stood, still keeping the small pendant in between my fingers, the bastard was about to question me once more before I took my leave out of the inn in a complete frustrated sadness, Gluttony trying to explain in the best of his abilities of my actions.

Once outside I inhaled the fresh air, leaning my back against the inn's walls as I still kept the small pendant that was given to me by the special green haired boy between my fingers.

Sakuya.

My mind uttered that name over and over again, gradually my frail body began to slip down the wall till I found myself crying into my knees thinking of all that has happened in my life.

"Nobody should be alone in this world."

"Your parents work for C3"

"Let's stick together forever!"

"Please don't kill my Oka!"

I screamed out for air, fists slamming against the concrete, eyes remaining close in fear of a tear slipping out, why couldn't I just live a healthy life?

Why did the world want to punish me? What sins could I have possibly caused to live such a worthless and painful life?

I need to stop coming into contact with people, all I do is ruin their lives. Why did I become his Eve? By doing so I've doomed everyone in the war of Servamps.

Why do I do the things I do?

A hesitant hand took hold of my shaking shoulder, in fear my eyes remained shut till I felt that familiar presence I've missed for all these months.

Eyes opened, eyes connected with calming brown ones, tears streaming down cheeks, hair a mess, bags underneath the eyes becoming evident, the heartbreak showing across face, the necklace dropping from fingertips.

"My sort of sister shouldn't be sad by herself." that smile he sent my way, that's what gave me hope, hope that maybe I could live a happy life.
