I stood there with a new feeling something I've never felt before... Fear. Where we really going to die here? after everything we've been through. I just couldn't accept that, I didn't want to.
"Who are you? What do you want with us?" Kenzie spoke first.
"My name? Haha kid you really don't wanna ask that." one of the I would presume bounty hunters spoke.
"Sky right? and I'm gonna presume the girl is Kyrstan." I heard Kaden say to the trio. "So who is the third wheel?" Kaden continued not caring for the situations risk.
"Come with us if you want to live." The unnamed bounty hunter spoke.
"Right, right, that's why you came down and aimed your guns at us." Charlie spoke almost trying to provoke them. But to which Kyrstan aimed her pistol at Cameron and pulled the trigger.
"Better? you guys lived. Come with us or she's next." Kyrstan said pointing the pistol at Kenzie.
"Okay! We'll go with you but answer us this. why us?" I asked but just as they where interrupted by strings of sniper fire.
"Cover! take cover" The unnamed bounty hunter shouted as he tried to return fire.
"Corben! Run!" I heard Sarah scream to me as she and everyone else ran up the ridge for an escape to which I followed them and was faced with our sniper.
"Who are you?" Daniel spoke Crossbow pulled and aimed.
"I'm Rico. who are you? Oliver Queen?" The girl spoke jokingly.
"Daniel Jackson." Daniel said as he stuck out his hand for her to shake it to which she accepted . "Thanks for saving our ass's"
"Yea thanks. But that doesn't answer why waste your ammo on a bunch of strangers I mean I'm glad you did I'm grateful but why?" I asked The girl who's name was apparently Rico.
"I've lost some one before. I watched the same thing happen now. I guess I just thought we might not be too different." She replied with a smile while loading her sniper.
"Well I'm Corben, You've met Daniel." I started but she cut me off before I could go further.
"I've met everyone here, please to meet you corben." Rico said as she started walking into the woods. "You guys coming?" She asked looking back.
"Um, yea, yeah we are" I said looking to Daniel wondering if he was gonna come with.
"I've been with you guys this far. Why give up?" Daniel said with a smirk as he started walking over to Rico and started having a conversation with her which was inaudible to me.
Soon everyone else including me started following after Rico wondering where she was taking us.
