Chapter 62

Maahis P.O.V:

The cold New York breeze was just lovely. Walking on the streets at 5am with coffee in one hand and a bag in the other was just amazing. Of course I was lying to myself, the coffee was cold and it was freezing out here. There were many people bumping into one another, if you want to see people at 5am in morning walking on a street New York is the place.

As I was in my thoughts someone bumped into me painfully spilling my coffee on my new jacket. I quickly got napkins and started wiping.

"Maahi?" The voice said.

I looked up and surprisingly it was Sneha, Abhis ex-girlfriend.

"Oh my god!!! It's you!! I'm so sorry for the coffee spill!! Whenever I meet you I spill coffee on you! Remember at the airport!!" Sneha said happily.

"Yea. How are you?" I asked in vain.

"Good, but I'm so sorry for that dinner 2 months ago. I think over reacted, I should give Abhi another chance!!! How are you guys doing?" Sneha asked.

I wanted to tell her that me and Abhi weren't together anymore but I didn't want to influence her decision on forgiving Abhis.

"Sneha, Abhis a nice guy you should forgive him. He never meant to hurt you." I said smiling and walking away.

I reached Tanyas apartment in the afternoon and she wasn't looking happy.

"You are late." Tanya said.

"Sorry!!! Had to buy a new jacket." I said.

"Why?"

"Coffee spill." I answered.

"Nothing is right Maahi!!! Everything is just going awful!!" Tanya begin with her complaints.

"Tanya it's fine!!! I have a list of caterers and wedding decorators!!!" I said calming her down.

"Oh Maahi!!! What would I do without you?!!" Tanya said hugging me.

I don't know if she was this nervous about the wedding or she was crazy.

"Tanya please relax!! Arjun loves you a lot and he doesn't care about how the wedding happens if it was up to him he would marry you right now!!" I said cheering her up.

"If it was up to Arjun than he would get married in a dumpster!!!" Tanya said annoyed.

"That's because he loves you." I said.

"I know. Everyone loves me!!!" Tanya stated proudly.

In this whole conversation I couldn't help but think of Karthik, he wasn't going to hang out with me since I was a part of Tanyas wedding. We hadn't talked since that dinner, Tanya told Karthik that she was engaged. Karthik told me to stay away from him and Abhi. I missed him so much but every time I called him he hanged up the phone and refused to even say a word to me.

"Maahi? Aarav is inviting us to dinner, I'm not going because I'm meeting up with Arjun." Tanya said.

"Okay. That's fine I'll go." I said.

Aaravs P.O.V:

It was night and I was waiting for Maahi to come.
She walked in with a black dress, she looked beautiful.

"You look incredible!!" I said hugging her.

"Thank you! Aarav this place is great! I love having dinner outside in a beautiful garden." Maahi said looking around.

There were candles, flowers, and a perfect dinner for the both of us. We sat down and began digging in.

"So, why all these preparations?" Maahi asked.

"Since Tanya cancelled I thought it would be nice to book a garden area. I know how much you love eating outside." I explained.

Maahi smiled and I smiled back.

"Maahi...I have something to say..." I begin.

"What?"

"Ever since I met you were just so full of life and open minded. I couldn't help but fall in love with you, but I never told you. Than Abhi came and you guys started dating, it broke my heart. I'm not backing out this time." I said pulling out a ring.

"Will you marry me?" I asked shocking Maahi.
