The day had come. Jona was finally 16. He didn't feel older, just looked and felt the same. The sun was shining in through his window, the blinding white light in rays of sun. Minutes later, he was outside waiting for his bus. When it came, he st down with his friend Colby. Jona and Colby had been friends since 2nd grade when Jona got pushed off the monkey bars by this guy.
Colby looked up from his phone and turned towards Jona. "Did you hear, there's a new student in Mrs. Welchester's class today?"
Jona looked at him funny, clearly he didn't know. "No, I didn't. Do you know their name?" He was curious. Last time their was a new student, a kid named Will James moved from London. He ended up moving back because he hated their school.
"Yea. Her name is Harper Woodlin. I hear she's hot." he said with a smirk. Jona could tell his friend was going to try and hit on the new girl. But he just replied with a simple "cool" and looked out the window and watched the cars drive by.
