Jona sat in front of me on the floor, hands on my knees, watching the tears roll down my face. He seemed worried and confused as to why I was crying. No one has ever said that I'm special. My parents never told me they loved me, maybe once or twice in my younger years, but it seemed like something you'd say to a five year old. No one really stays in my life, but one day after school, Jona told me our friendship meant the world to him, and that hr wasn't going to leave my side ever. He hugged me tight and told me I'm his best friend. But now it seemed like he meant it the most. He got up and pulled me close, his heart beating fast in his chest. I felt him begin to cry a bit too. "Harper, you mean the world to me...no one and nothing can change that." He whispered in my ear softly and kissed the top of my head again. I felt my heart calming down and my breathing begin to slow down. I pulled back to look at the blue eyes in front of me, which were teared up. He wiped the tears from my face and lifted my chin up to look at him again, and he smiled. He wiped his tears and held my hands. "This is no place for stain glass eyes..."
