Faline's Been Made a Prefect

First Night Back

I was in a compartment with Dean, Ginny, Neville, and Seamus on the train back to school. None of us wanted to go back, but we had no choice. Suddenly the train stopped and deatheaters came on board searching the train. They were looking for my brother thinking he was going back to Hogwarts.

When they reached our compartment Neville stood up and said "hey losers, his not here". They went to get their wands, but I stood in front of Neville with my own wand out. One of them saw and whispered something to his partner and they left the compartment.

Neville and I sat back down as the train started the journey again. "We can't let them win without a fight. I think it's time the D. A was reformed and expanded" I told the other four. They all nodded in agreement I took out my coin and changed the date/time for tomorrow evening. Lets hope the old D. A members still had their coins. 

(that night)

We were in the great hall after the feast and Snape was about to give his speech. "Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts, I'd like you all to know there will be no head boy or girl this year. Quidditch will still take place this year and if anyone uses spells in the corridors they'll be punished. We have two new teachers this year Mr Carrow will be your Dark Arts teacher and his sister will teach Muggle Studies. Both classes will be compulsory for all students. That is all goodnight and prefects show the first years to their dorms."

He finished his speech and I gathered the Gryffindor first years and lead them to Gryffindor Tower. When we arrived I went upstairs with Ginny to change before meeting Draco. But when I got to our room none of my stuff had arrived.

Parvati came into the room and told me McGonagall was downstairs. That she wanted to see me and it was urgent. I wished Ginny goodnight and went into the common room. I followed Professor McGonagall through the castle silently.

We arrived at a portrait of a dragon and she said 'light'. It opened and she lead me inside. "This will be your dorm from now on Miss Potter. Snape's orders" she told me and she left me in my new dorm.

As I turned to face the room after she left I noticed I wasn't alone. "Have a seat Faline we have a lot to discuss" Snape said. I did as I was told remembering want Dumbledore's letter said. "Draco won't be meeting you tonight he is busy" Snape told me once I was seated. I said nothing and he continued to speak.

"I know you know the truth about me and your brother. Whilst you are here at this school, you remain under my protection. No harm will come to you here" he told me. I nodded and he left the room leaving a letter on the table.

It was from Draco he apologized for not meeting me tonight and asked me not to cross the Carrow's.  I put the letter down and went to my new bedroom. I changed into my pj's and blocked my mind going to sleep.
