14. Buffy's Pregnant

It was October 3rd and the boys had a day off between shows. Last night they performed in Washington, D.C. at the 9:30 club and would be in Chapel Hill tomorrow night. I woke up between Dave and Krist and ran to the bathroom. I checked myself to make sure but nothing. It had been almost a month since our little unprotected fun. I was suppose to start 3 days ago. I stared at myself in the mirror and did so for 5 minutes before a knock came at the door.

"You ok Britt?" Krist asked from the other side of the door.

"Ya I'll be out in a second," I replied. I washed my hands, dried them and opened the door. Krist was leaning against the wall waiting.

"Wanna go get some breakfast before Dave wakes up? We haven't hung out just us in awhile," Krist asked as we switched places.

"Ya sure. I'll just get dressed," I replied. It was good that Krist and I had finally gotta past whatever the hell was between us. Things had just gotten weird between us after Dave and I started dating. I got dressed in jeans and one of Dave's t shirts and waited for Krist.

"I just need pants and we can go," Krist said as came out of the bathroom. Dave was just waking up as Krist found his pants.

"Where you two going?" He asked as he yawned.

"Best friend breakfast," I replied as I moved over to sit beside him on the bed.

"Ok so I can go back to sleep for a bit then?" He asked in his sleepy morning voice.

"Yes you can but I want a kiss first," I said as he started laying back down. He stopped and came back up and kissed me quickly before he laid back down completely.

Krist and I headed down to hotel restaurant and were seated at a table. There wasn't many people in there. We looked at the menus as our waitress went to get us coffee and I couldn't decide what to get. French toast or bacon and eggs.

"What can I get you guys?" the waitress asked as she came back with coffee for both us.

"I'll have bacon and eggs with toast and orange juice please," Krist said as he handed her his menu.

"Can I get the same please but also some french toast and apple juice please," I said as I handed her my menu.

"Holy hungry much?" Krist asked with a laugh after the waitress walked away.

"I couldn't choose," I said. I was actually very hungry. Krist had been out partying all night so Dave and I had the hotel room to ourselves. It gave of us plenty of time for amazing sex before they left tonight to go to the next show. I had to go help Sadie at the store.

"So are you sad to be leaving us?" Krist asked as he sipped his coffee. I was fiddling with the spoon I had stirred my coffee with.

"I guess. I kind of want my normal life back for a bit. It's getting crazy out here," I replied.

"I know what you mean. I kind of don't blame you. Dave said you where coming back out with us after your birthday," Krist said as the waitress came back with our food.

"Ya. I'll also be at the halloween show. God this looks amazing," I said as I started eating.

I was eating my bacon when Kurt, Courtney and Dave showed up in the restaurant. Dave saw me and walked over with Kurt and Courtney following him.

"Hey baby," he said as he stole my last piece of bacon.

"Hey you," I responded. Kurt looked at the table before lookign at me and Krist.

"Who did you guys eat with?" he asked.

"No one. She had bacon and eggs and french toast," Krist replied, pointing at me when he said she. Dave gave me a confused look. I usually only eat ceral or scrambled eggs.

"I couldn't decide," I replied as I shrugged my shoulders.

Krist and I decided to stay while Kurt, Courtney and Dave ate breakfast. Courtney was finished before the others so I asked her if she wanted to come to the gift shop with me. When we got there, we seperated and started looking around.

"Here I found them," Courtney said. Courtney knew exactly what I was looking for. I walked over to her and looked at the pregnancy tests.

"How many do I need?" I asked as I looked at Courtney.

"Let's get five. That way if two are positive and two are negative one can be a tie breaker," she said as she grabbed 5 boxes and headed to the counter.

The man behind the counter gave us a weird look and rang us in. I paid him and we went back up to Kurt and Courtney's room. Courtney waited out in the hall as I did what I had to do. I opened the door and she came in and we waited. I was chilling in the tub and Courtney was sitting on the toilet watching. I was looking at my watch intensly, watching the second hand go around.

"How much longer?" Courtney asked.

"One minute," I replied. I watched as the second hand went around my watch one mroe time. I looked at Courtney once it had been 3 minutes. She flipped the tests over.

"Holy fuck!" She shouted. She had a smile on her face. I stood up, stepped out of the tub and looked down at the counter.

"Oh my god," I said shocked. All five tests where blue.

"You're gonna be a mom," Courtney said as she hugged me. I hugged her back briefly before looking at the tests again. Just then the room to the hotel room opened.

"Told you they where in here," Kurt said as he walked in followed by Dave and Krist. Kurt walked into the bathroom where Courtney and I were and saw the tests ont he counter.

"Dear lord," was all Kurt could say. That of course caught the attention of Krist and Dave. They both came into the small bathroom to see what was wrong. Thankfully I had my back to Dave and was looking at Courtney.

"Ok wait before we freak out, who took the tests?" Krist asked. I started tearing up and closed my eyes. Kurt put his hand on my back and started rubbing it.

"Baby," Dave said as he also put his hand on my back. I couldn't hold my sobs in anymore and just full on started crying. Dave turned me around and pulled me in for a hug. Krist, Kurt and Courtney joined in on the hug.

"This baby is gonna have two kick ass uncles, a bitchin aunt and great parents," Courtney said once they pulled apart from me and Dave. Dave kept his ars around me.

"Maybe you two should have one too," Krist said as a joke.

"Maybe we should," Kurt said and looked at Courtney.

"Let's not plan things right now. We got one baby to worry about already," Courtney replied as her and Kurt walked out of the bathroom. As Krist left he closed the door.

"You ok baby?" Dave asked as he leaned away from me a bit to see my face.

"I guess," I said quietly as I let go of him and sat on the edge of the tub.

"You can tell me. I will never get mad at you when you tell me what you're feeling or thinking," Dave said as he sat down beside me.

"I feel like I'm not ready. I've been on my own since I was 16. I have no idea how to be a mom. I have no mom to ask for advice or help," I said as I started crying again. I put my head in my hands.

"You have my mom. I'm sure she'd be mroe than happy to answer any questions you have and can give you plenty of advice. She's been asking when I'm bringing you to visit her or when she can visit," Dave said as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders.

"Maybe she can come up for christmas or we can go there," I said and looked at him. He had a huge smile on his face.

"We're gonna be fucking parents," He said.

"I know. How do you feel?" I asked him.

"Unprepared but we got this. We're gonna read what we can and learn everything we possibly can and we'll figure it out as we go," Dave replied.

"You're not gonna leave me are you?" I asked.

"Never," he replied before he kissed me.
