I heard someone knock on my bedroom door and it pulled me from my sleeping state.

“Come in.” I said groggily. Wes’s head was still laying on my chest and one of my hands laid flat on his head. Drew came in, his right hand covering his eyes. I pulled the cover over Wes’s head.

“It’s ok, Drew there’s nothing going on.” He peeked through his fingers and finally released his hand.

“Sorry for waking you up but we have a plane to catch in 4 hours, so get ready and wake Wes up, he’s coming, so is Keaton.” He said and turned away to leave the room. My brother thinks about every freaking thing.

“Wesley.” I whispered, partly singing. I brushed his hair out of his face and shook his shoulder a little.

“Mhmmm.” That was is only response. He buried his head back into my chest and tightened his grip on me.

“Come on wake up, we need to get ready.” I pushed him away slightly, but I still gave him a good morning kiss. One hour and a half later, we were all packed and ready to go. We were supposed to stay at least a week, so we had a couple of suitcases.

“Everybody got everything they need?” Drew asked coming into the house. He had put every suitcase in the trunk of the car while Wes was still eating breakfast because it took him so much time to even wake up. Everybody nodded and I put the little things I would need in the plane and the car into my purse.

“Ok, that’s it, be good Zuni.” Keaton said from the couch, patting the little guy’s head.

“Don’t be too dumb while we are gone okay?” He added. I smiled at his awkwardness. The cat didn’t move or even acknowledge his presence.

“Mama Stromberg will come visit you once in a while, so you can have food and stay fat.” He was basically having a whole conversation with Zuni; he scratched the top of his head one last time and picked up his stuff.

“Wes say bye to Zuniqua.” Keaton childishly asked his brother.

“Bye, Zuni.” Wes said while rolling his eyes and putting his dirty plate in the sink.

“I think we are good to go now.” I said and followed the boys out of the house. We locked the door and piled into the car. Drew was driving, and Keaton had yelled that he wanted to be in the front so we let him.

“How are you feeling?” Wes asked after a couple of minutes of driving.

“Okay I guess. I haven’t quite realized it. I think I’ll get it when I see her you know?” I said. He took my hand in his and intertwined his fingers through mine. He laid both of ours hands on his thigh. For the rest of the drive we talked and sang a little Sublime and Blink182. After Drew found a parking spot we started unpacking the back of the car to make our way into the huge airport. Wes was taking care of my luggage like a true gentleman.

“Wes can you get mine too ok thanks.” Keaton teased his brother and left his bags in Wes’s possession.

“Oh shut up, carry your own darn things.” Wes replied.

“So lovely.” Keaton said, rolling his eyes and pulling his suitcase through the crowd. We signed in and did our thing. 30 minutes after the supposed time we were finally sitting in the small plane. I was sitting next to my brother for once. I laid my head on his shoulder for the takeoff aka the worst part. Oh wait that might be the landing as well.

“Don’t be scared.” Drew teased me and nudged my side.

“I’m not scared, I’m just…uncomfortable.” I answered stubbornly. He laughed at me, and we finally took off into the air. The flight was about 2 and a half hour long so I just talked with my brother or listened to Keaton’s Ipod, since he has such a great taste in music.
