“Ok, so you’ll be ok on your own?” My brother asked as he tied his shoes on.
“Dreeeew we went over this a thousand times.” I sighed as I put my feet up on the coffee table, relaxing back into the couch.
“Just making sure. Ok, so remember, no party, no alcohol, and no boys.” He said and quickly walked out of the door laughing when I threw him to closet thing to me aka the remote control who smashed against the floor. Luckily it hit the carpet so it wasn’t too damaged. He was going out with someone whom I don’t know and Keaton was hanging out at Sonyia’s place for the night. I couldn’t wait to hear the crunchy details tomorrow morning to be honest. So I was basically home alone for the night, because I knew Drew wouldn’t come home to sleep, if you know what I mean. Oh and for Wes? I had no idea where he was. We haven’t talked much about the conversation we had at the skate park by the way. And even though I could’ve thrown the biggest party I settled on reading the new book I bought a couple of days ago.
At some point I felt my phone buzzed more than twice, indicating someone was trying to reach me. I was hoping it wasn’t Drew, checking on me every hour to make sure I didn’t burn down the house. The picture that appeared on my screen indicated someone else though.
“Wes? What’s up?” I asked through the phone.
“Vodka or rum?” Was is only answer. I got extremely confuse and wondered if he wasn’t already drunk, or incredibly high.
“What?”
“C’mon answer babe.” He replied and I sighed. I hate it when he doesn’t explain his plans to me. It doesn’t help that I’m not really found of surprises.
“I have no idea what’s going on… but vodka.”
“Good, see you soon.” After that he just hung up, leaving me hanging. I clicked on the end button and thought about the fact that it was probably the weirdest phone call I’ve ever got. I guess I’m going to get some explanation soon enough… And boy was I right. Fifteen minutes later I saw him walking in, a bottle of vodka in his hand and 12 beers in his other.
“Wes? How did you even get that?” I asked as I stood up to meet him in the lobby.
“I have my fair share of tricks, plus I look older than eighteen don’t you think?” He said, as he put down the box.
“I guess.. your facial hair must help.” He rubbed his chin as I said that and walked in the kitchen nonchalantly. He put down the bottle of grey goose on the counter and opened the cupboard where we leave the party kit. He took two red cups out of there and he put them down next to the bottle.
“What’s going on?” I asked confused once again.
“We are getting drunk, that’s what’s going on.” He replied like it wasn’t a big deal. He poured of some alcohol in both cups and took some orange juice out of the fridge.
“But…why?”
“Because we haven’t in forever and I always wanted to get drunk with only you around.” He said as he pushed the cup towards me while he took a big sip of his.
“Is this your way of taking advantage of me with no one knowing?” I joked and stared at the cup, wondering if I should take it or not.
“Of course not… I would never do that. That’s not the way I seduce my girl.”
“You are so weird and random.” I said as I sat on one of the stool. He leaned back on the counter top, not going slow on the alcohol.
“Come on, it’s Friday. You are not going to read all night are you? Plus we got the whole place to ourselves.” He winked flirtatiously.
“Urg. I hate you.” I whispered and took the drink.
“No you don’t.”
[…]
“Come on let’s do another one!” I yelled as I poured another shot into the small glasses. The bottle was almost done and we drank about 3 beers each…from what I remember.
“No, no more.” Wes complained, holding his head into his hands. The situation apparently turned around.
“You pussy.” I challenged and his head shot straight up. I could see his manly side showing. He had too much ego to stop now, since I was still going. I wasn’t going strong but I still was. The coffee table was full of cups and beer bottles I could see round stains forming here and there. Drew won’t be too happy about this…whatever.
“Uh uh, don’t call me that.” He said as he reached out for the shot waiting for him. He chugged it and made a disgusted face right after which sent me in a fit of laughter.
“Stop laughing at me!” He pouted and in one quick movement he had tackled me down on the couch. He started moving his fingers quickly against my side in an attempt to tickle me but since I’m the less ticklish person in the world I didn’t react.
“Totally forgot you weren’t ticklish.” He slurred as he laid his upper body on top of me.
“You lose!” I said excitedly and poked his cheek.
“You may have one a battle but you didn’t win the war!” He said and he started to kiss me on the soft spot on my neck.
“Does that tickle? Even a little?” He asked in between his kisses.
“Nope.” I answered and he sighed. I got to admit that his breathing on my neck sent shivers down my spine though.
“What about here?” He asked as he made his way up to my ear. I was trying to fight back but a moan spontaneously escaped my lips. I heard Wes chuckled against the sensible skin there and he said:
“That’s better than laughing.” I just ran my hand through the back of his hair as an answer and he went on with his kisses. At some point I felt his warm hands under my tank top and without thinking I took off his shirt first, quickly followed by mine.
“We probably shouldn’t sleep together if we are drunk.” The part of my brain that still had a little of common sense was telling me how wrong this was and how much it would make this worst.
“It’s not a drunken mistake; we would still do it if we weren’t intoxicated. Last week is a pretty good proof of that.” He said and he covered his lips with mine, probably trying to shut me up. His tongue met mine and we were quickly half naked after that.
“We are a weird couple.” I said while his lips met with the skin in between my breasts.
“Couple?” He asked surprised, stopping everything he was doing. Oh shit, I didn’t even realize I said that.
“That’s the alcohol talking.” I lied; he just hummed in response and went back to what he was doing. My hands were running up and down his muscular back until he stood up and held that his hand.
“Come on, if Drew or Keaton ever learn that we slept together on the couch they are going to kill us.” He said and a chuckled escaped my lips. He was right, I could already see Drew buying another couch or cleaning this one a thousand times. Even if it wasn’t a long walk, by the time we made it to his bed the alcohol had sank in and my head started to spin. I got under the cover first and wrapped the sheets around me. Wes locked the door behind him, we can never be too much careful and he joined me right after. Soon after we started kissing again, but I wasn’t feeling it anymore. I could already tell we would have the biggest hangover tomorrow and I just wanted to sleep.
“Is your head spinning as much as mine?” Wes asked as he pulled away from me.
“Probably more.” I answered. He laughed and lay on his back next to me. He opened his arms so I could lay my head on his chest.
“Let’s just cuddle for the night.” He whispered and held me a little tighter.
