BTW - sorry I know this is really long😅 i split it into 2
You are 16 a year younger than Mark. And this is set in America. You listen to Kpop and are a big fan of all of the Nct groups btwUgh, I hate construction. It's so loud and disruptive. Especially when it's right next to my house. Apparently I'm getting new neighbors that decided to build a house right across the street from my place. I live with my mother father and brother, in a large-ish farmhouse on a farm with my two dogs and two cats. My current neighbors thought it would be a good idea to sell the land they owned to some random company and now they are building what looks like a VERY large house. It's only been about 2 weeks and the frame of their house is already wider then our house. And by the short amount of time it's taken to make that much, the residents are in a hurry to move in.
~About one month later~
The house is already built?! That was my first thought after returning from school. I hop out of the passengers side of the car, and pull out my earbuds as my mom gets out of the drivers side. Rhythm ta just finished in time. "It's finished already?!" I exclaim to her. She responds calmly, "Yes it is and they are already moving in! Now get the groceries out of the trunk." I sigh, "Ne Eomma..." She turns around and looks at me quizzically, "What?" She knows I listen to Kpop but she doesn't really know the terms or the language so whenever I speak Korean, she's always confused. "Nothing mom I got the groceries." And unbeknownst to me, there was someone next door who heard my words and understood what they meant.
~Next door, Marks POV~
I set down the heavy box onto the hard wood floor of my new room with a sigh. Standing back up straight I get a good look around. Light grey walls, dark wood floor, and two big windows. I like it.
I hear a car pull into the driveway next door, so I go over to the window facing the road and I pull apart the curtains. A mini van pulls into the dirt driveway, and two people get out. On one side, the mother I'm assuming, gets out and on the other a girl. I stare in awe at her beauty, and later shake my head, remembering staring is rude. Did she just speak in Korean? Probably not. But after that moment I am not able to get her out of my head all day.Your POV
"(Y/N)!!!!!!!!! GET OUT HERE THE COWS ARE OUT AGAIN!!!" Yells my mom from the front yard. I scramble out of bed, half asleep, and run down the stairs. Probably not the best idea when you're practically sleeping. I trip on the last step and crash to the floor, but I get back up again quickly, not noticing the faint pain in my right shin.
I rush out the door throwing on my rubber barn boots. Running into the yard in my pajamas, Tshirt and shorts, hair flying, I get to where I can see the escapees. But not soon enough. They had made it across the road and into the new neighbors yard. Oh no my parents are going to be furious. As they were dealing with the other cows that made their way around the other side of our house, I looked both ways and darted across the road. Walking onto the well kept lawn with my large boots I look for the cows and find four of them trying to eat the neighbors hedges around the side of the house. They had also left big hoof prints in the grass. "Ugh, guys!" I sigh at them, "You know you aren't supposed to come over here! What were you thinking..." I tell them. Yah, I talk to them. They don't respond but they are like pets to me. They do pay attention when I talk though, so when I spoke at them they all turned their heads, and looked down in shame. "I know, it's ok just go back home." I say to them and point back to the barn, across the road. They sulk past me and cross the road safely. I walk behind them smiling to myself and shaking my head. What I didn't notice was the audience that had gathered...Marks POV
I sit at the edge of my bed, and stretch my arms upwards with a sigh. First sleep in the new house went pretty well. I stand up and run my fingers through my newly colored hair when I hear a commotion next door. I walk over to my window rubbing my eyes and I see that girl running across the road and into our yard. My eyes widen as she disappears from my view and around the house. I run out of my room, down the carpeted stairs, and into the living room. Surprisingly the rest of the members had already beat me there.
They look back at me, and then back to the cracks in the curtain and out the window.
~In Korean~
Taeyong- "Who is she? What is she doing here?
Winwin- "She's pretty"
Haechan- "Wa, she just got those cows to move without even trying!"
Yuta- "I wonder if those boots are heavy."
Taeil- "They ate our hedges..."
Jaehyun- "Awe they're leaving"
~Back to English~
I raise my eyebrows at what they say, but I also feel a twinge of jealousy. I forgot they might like her too. I shouldn't even worry though, none of us are allowed to date, especially not someone that isn't an idol. But I rush to the door, getting the attention of the other members. And I open the door to find the girl almost gone. She turned around at the sound of the door, and looked at me. I just stood there staring like an idiot, my cheeks starting to burn as she neared me. When she reached the step she looked at me with wide eyes. Maybe she knows who I am. Oh no I hope she isn't crazy.
"Hi... Um I'm really sorry about the cows, they get out sometimes. If there's anything I can do to help with the damage just say so." She said in the most melodic voice, while looking down at her feet. "Y-yah. It's fine..." I say, still staring. Really Mark?! Stuttering in front of a girl! Usually I'm so confident, but she makes me nervous. I realize the guys had gathered around behind me and we're looking over my shoulder at her. She looked back up, and her eyes widened again. "H-hello." She stuttered blinking cutely. To be continued.....
