Finding Happiness & the Other Journal__

Two Weeks Later_

Savage__

Can you hear the rushing waves?
The seagulls alarming the sun rise.
Can you smell the sea water?
And a fresh brewed cup of coffee.
Can you feel the warm sand between your toes?
The cold ocean touching your hot skin.
Can you see your peers before you?
Having fun in the sun.
Can you taste the Italian dish?
The crust of cheesy goodness that has way more to offer.
The five senses of life hear, smell, touch, sight and taste.
God gave these gifts for a reason,
To pay attention of what's around you.
And whichever is taken away from you, just know that the other four seances become stronger.

One Love,
Savage Black.

The assistant of the CEO, cuts the album. The board and I sit in the meeting for the listening of my work. Today will determine if my album is good enough to go on the shelves next week. Am I excited, of course. I'm just more nervous than anything. This room is quiet as hell. You can't hear a peep.

"Is that the last peom?" The CEO questions.

"Um no sir, the last track is next but you said to only play the first six tracks." His assistant says. I look at the track list, sighing as a I see its the track with Farrell. This is exactly what I was afraid of, they'd give me the deal only for Farrell.

People get confused between love and sex. Love is more of the essence between two souls. It has meaning and effort shared between two partners. Where as sex is just something rushed. You see the person maybe one or twice in your life, but love is forever. That's what the world needs, love.

One Love,
Savage Black and Farrell Sights

The album cuts into a tape cassette recording, ending just as so. As the board begins to talk amongst themselves, I just smile and wait patiently for the decision. It was clear I was only getting this because I worked with Farrell, but I expected that. It is my first project, and in order to get out there I have to have some type of recognition.

"Ms. Black." The CEO smiles. I turn my attention to him with a warm smile.

"Yes." I reply.

"I don't like this project of yours...I love it. From beginning to end." He smiles wider.

"Well thank you. I'm glad you love it." I smile.

"The board and I have decided to produce the album. It'll be available on iTunes and local shelves, such as Walmart and F.Y.E. This a new raw way of experiencing poetry and we'll be the first company to categorize poetry in audio form. I love it." He admits in excitement.

"Thank you." I smile.

"You're welcome. Now when the album sells, in the first two weeks we'll see how it goes. Then we'll talk tour dates, your next project and future ideas." I nod and stand to my feet, shaking the board members hands on my way out and thank them.
