~~~~~~HOUSE OF HADES SPOILER (small one)~~~~~~
"I can't believe it!" I whispered in excitement. Frank and I were finally going to visit our friends at Camp Half-Blood over our extended fall break.
"We're almost there. Just one more mile. Try not to explode before we get there Hazel." Frank said jokingly, focusing on the road ahead.
After what felt like an eternity on that long green stretch leading to camp, we finally saw Thalia's Pine dead ahead. And right there were Leo, Percy, Annabeth, Jason, and Piper waiting for us to arrive.
You're probably wondering about Jason. Well, after the war he decided he wanted to stay with Piper, so he went to the Greek camp with her. Really it wasn't a big deal, since he'd given the position of praetor to Frank when we were in the House of Hades.
We slowly pulled over next to the hill and got out of the car. The cool autumn breeze was marvelous after the stuffy ride in the car, and the smell of strawberries was very overwhelming. The pines swayed slowly, back and forth in the wind. I knew it was going to be a great two weeks.
The others rushed down the hill to grab our bags.
"OMIGOSH! Hazel it's been FOREVER!!! How are you?" Piper asked before she tackled me in a bone-crushing hug.
"Can't-breathe-please-let-go!" I barely stammered before she let go.
She bit her lip. "Sorry! I'm just so excited! Gosh, I'm acting like a girlie-girl sorry."
After all the reunion hugs, we hauled all the bags up the hill to the cabins we'd be staying in. For now, Frank would be in the Big House (he didn't want to be with the Ares/Mars cabin.) I on the others hand, would be staying in the Hades/Pluto cabin like normal.
Everyone left to let us get settled in to our cabins. I had barely anything to unpack, so I was mainly trying to adjust that this is Camp Half-Blood. It was beautiful, with the canoe lake, forest, and, I think Annabeth might've been rubbing off on me, because I was just awestruck at the Greek architecture.
As I was lost in thought, I heard the door slightly creak open. I turned to see none other than my brother Nico.
"Nico?!" I asked in shock. I couldn't believe he actually came. I told him I was coming when I last saw him in August, but I didn't expect him to actually come.
"Hey Hazel." He said coolly, dark eyes kidding behind his long, black, shaggy hair that always made him look mysterious. "I'm only here for dinner tonight so I could see you but I'm leaving right after. How've you been sis?" He plopped down on the bed, which made me bounce a little.
"Great! And you?" I asked in a British accent, straightening my back and acting professional. I don't even know why I did that, but it's fun to be weird every once in a while.
His dark eyes glistened as he half-heartedly smiled at my weirdness. "Pretty ok I guess."
We sat there in the dark, spacious cabin in an awkward silence for a few minutes. Finally Nico said. "Well, I'm going to visit the others and say hello. I'll see you later."
"Bye Nico!" I called as he walked out the door, though he didn't acknowledge me.
---Later---
"And here we have the archery range, I personally try to avoid this area, I stink at archery but this is probably where Frank will be with all of his time." Percy said, giving Frank a smile. Percy was giving Frank and I a tour of camp.
"Well!" Percy said stretching his arms. "That's pretty much camp! During the summer there are a lot more kids but hey, we pretty much get camp to ourselves besides a few people from various cabins."
