Location: Earth
Back on Earth, the day was going very well. They had gotten loads of pictures and found fragments of something unidentifiable in both of the grids. The most interesting thing though was in grid 1 where Andrew, Katy and Bill had started to uncover a long white shape that looked like a coffin. The material was very strange because most coffins are either wood or iron and it wasn't either of those, also the color was strange because it wasn't painted. Katy had already taken numerous photos of what they had uncovered so far. Everybody else had long ago left their grids and joined Andrew and his group by the strange object.
They worked, taking shifts, until it began to grow dark.
Andrew called a halt, "Okay everybody that's enough work for today. Gather up your stuff and we'll continue in the morning."
They all reluctantly started to gather up their equipment and leave. Katy and Nancy went to prepare some food for the hungry team.
As the group settled around down to eat there were many questions about the strange object but not many answers.
"So what do you all think is in it?" Benjamin asked the group.
"I bet it's aliens," Nathan said jokingly.
"I seriously doubt that it's aliens," Bill replied scathingly.
"Okay fine, sheesh, I was only kidding," Nathan said defensively.
"Anyway," Katy started, "I think its one of those alien pranks that people do."
"Alien pranks?" Nathan asked puzzled.
"Yeah, ya know, like somebody buries something that looks like it could be alien and then lets it sit there for awhile. Then somebody else digs it up and claims it's alien," she explained.
Her explanation was met with puzzled looks.
"Really you've never heard of that?" she questioned.
"Nope, never" Matthew replied.
"What about you Benjamin? What do you think?" Andrew asked.
"I don't really, no. I say we just wait until tomorrow and then we'll see," Benjamin replied.
"Good idea," Andrew said with a thumbs up. "Right now," he continued, "I say we clean up and get to bed. We'll have a long day ahead of us if we want get it uncovered."
The team tiredly stood up and cleaned up from their supper. One by one they started drifting off to their tents for a good nights sleep.
