"Come on lets get back to the console room."
"Ah man. Why can't we stay here a bit longer, you know, look around?" Matthew complained.
"Yeah and what about the giant library you were going to tell us about?" Nancy asked.
"Patience, all good things come to those who wait," Bill told the disappointed teens.
"Except sometimes you wait to long and the good things pass you over," the Historian replied wistfully, lost in some memory of the past.
"Console room," Andrew reminded her.
"Yes console room going there right there," she replied, snapping out of it. The group trailed the Historian as she led the way back through the white corridors to the console room.
"K-9 you got the coordinates for Mars ready yet?" the Historian asked as she entered the room.
"Affirmative."
"Okay good. Go ahead and plug them in please."
"Entering them now."
"Thank you K-9."
"Gratitude is unnecessary Mistress."
"So what's the plan exactly for when we get there?" Nancy asked.
"Uh, well it's not really a plan its more of a thing."
"A thing?"Katy asked.
"Yeah a thing. It's like a plan but I'm horrible at plans so I do things, which basically means I make up most of it on the fly."
"I see," Katy replied slowly.
"So any way the part of the thing that I do have is we go to Mars and I try to pull in a favor that one of the Ice Warrior lords owe me."
"What kind of favor?" Matthew asked.
"I saved one of them when they landed in the Sahara Desert."
"What happens if they don't think that they owe you a favor?" Benjamin asked.
"Well if I know Ice Warriors and I do, then they should owe me at least a little favor let's just hope that it's big enough to cover our problem."
"That's all we have: a thing and hope?" Bill asked. "There must be more?"
"Nope that's it"
"Boy you're a real comfort," Andrew commented dryly.
The time rotor stopped moving. "We're here," the Historian announced.
"Okay! Let's go meet some Ice Warriors," Matthew said excitedly.
"No. You aren't going anyway."
"Aww, why not?" Matthew complained.
"Because I'm not on the best terms with the Ice Warriors. They might kill me but they would definitely kill you. K-9, I want you to stay here and keep an eye on them."
"I don't understand 'keep an eye on them'."
"Watch them K-9. It means watch them. Bye for now hopefully this won't take long."
"What if something does happen to you?" Katy asked.
"Let's hope it doesn't come to that, but if it does K-9 will program the TARDIS to take you home."
"Affirmative Mistress," K-9 agreed.
"Good dog," the Historian patted K-9 on the head. "I'm leaving now. No more questions," she looked pointedly around the group.
She went over to look at the scanner to see what to expect. She switched it on and saw that her arrival had already been noticed. There were two Ice Warriors standing in front of the TARDIS with their guns raised and trained on the door. "Well here goes nothing," she murmured to herself.
