"I'm getting really worried about the Historian. She should have been back by now,"Nancy said glancing at her watch.
"You're right she should be back by now," Katy agreed.
"Hey K-9 is there any way we can see outside?" Andrew asked.
"Affirmative, there is a scanner screen. Would you like it turned on?"
"Yes please!" Nancy exclaimed.
"Scanner is now switched on."
On the one blank wall a panel slid back to reveal a screen that was black at first but soon shimmered into color. The team stared in horror at the screen. On it there was an Ice Warrior standing in front of the Historian, who was sitting on the ground.
"He's going to kill her!" Nancy exclaimed in horror.
"We don't know that. K-9 can we have audio also?" Andrew asked.
"Affirmative. Audio now switched on."
The audio switched on just as the Ice Warrior hissed, "Now you will die."
"We have to help her!" Katy exclaimed.
"How? We have no weapons," Andrew asked.
"K-9 could you use your stun ray thingy on him?" Nathan asked.
"Affirmative."
"Well then what are we waiting for," Katy said.
K-9 quickly rolled over to the door where Katy opened the door for him. K-9 fired a bolt of energy at the Ice Warrior. The Ice Warrior hissed in pain, the blast otherwise had no effect on him.
"Shoot him again K-9," the Historian shouted as she rolled out of the way of the Ice Warrior's gun.
K-9 quickly shot the Ice Warrior again and this time the blast had the desired effect. The team ran the short distance to the Historian.
"What happened?" Katy asked.
"A blast from his gun shattered some nearby rock and a piece of it conveniently decided to make its new home in my leg."
"How bad is it?" Nancy asked bending down to look at the Historian leg.
"It's not as bad as it looks," she replied, wincing. "I can fix it up in the TARDIS no problem."
"We'll help you there," Bill said as he motioned Andrew forward.
"Yeah we'll help," Andrew agreed as he walked toward her.
"Thanks."
"It's the least we can do. If it wasn't for you we'd probably be dead by now,"Andrew replied. Andrew and Bill helped the Historian to stand and together they helped in the direction of the TARDIS.
"I just wanted to tell you that your spaceship is amazing," Matthew said excitedly to the the Historian.
"Yeah she is a good ship. She had to be to survive eight hundred years with me," the Historian agreed with a smile. Matthew and the rest of the team stopped in their tracks and turned to look at her.
"Eight hundred years! That's how old you are!" Matthew exclaimed.
"No Matthew that is not how old I am."
"Oh good, because that would be insane," Matthew said in relief.
"Actually I'm more around nine hundred, give or take a few years." The team just stared at her in astonishment. "Now may we continue? I do have a 4-inch rock shard embedded in my leg."
"Yeah, let's go," Andrew whispered softly.
"Thank you"
"Well here we are," Bill announced as they walked up toward the TARDIS.
"Yep here we are," the Historian echoed. She lay her hand on the TARDIS and whispered, "I'm back old girl nice to see you again." In response the TARDIS's door slid open.
"Cool,"Matthew breathed.
Andrew and Bill helped the Historian into the TARDIS and over to the console where she closed the doors and retrieved a walking stick that was leaning against it.
"Where do we go now?" Andrew asked.
"Through that door," the Historian answered pointing to the door on the far side of the room, "then two rights and a left."
"How big is the TARDIS?" Nathan asked
"Imagine the biggest thing you an can and then discard that image because the TARDIS is infinite. Now I'm going to the med bay. You can either stay here or come along."
"I think we'll come with you," Andrew answered for the team.
"Okay. Follow me then," the Historian said as she limped over to the door.
"I still can't believe I'm on a actual spaceship!" Benjamin exclaimed in amazement.
"Well believe it because you are," the Historian replied.
"I know, I know. It's just so amazing."
"You haven't seen anything yet," the Historian responded with a chuckle that quickly turned into a grimace.
"You okay?" Nancy asked rushing forward.
"Yeah, I'm fine. We're almost there just one more left. The Historian limped through the last stretch of white hallway. "It should be this door," she said upon reaching a white paneled door. She opened it and the whole team craned their necks to try to see through it. "Yep this is it," she commented. She limped through the doorway and the amazed team followed.
"I know you said this was bigger-on-the-inside but that is just showing off," Matthew commented.
On the other side of the med bay was another open door and through it you could see a huge library. The shelves seemed to go forever in all directions and rose almost all the way to the high vaulted ceiling.
The Historian followed Matthew's gaze, "Oh that's just my library."
"If that's just a library. I'd hate to see your definition of a huge library,"Matthew commented.
"Well after I fix up my leg I'll tell you about a library even bigger than my own."
"There's a library bigger than that!" Benjamin exclaimed.
"Yep."
The Historian limped over to a table and picked up a pair of tweezers. She sat on a chair and carefully used the tweezers to pull the rock shard out of her leg. Next she grabbed tissue regenerator from the table next to her and turned it on. The little pen shaped tool glowed white and the Historian held it over the gash in her leg. The gash started to close as the white light hit it.
"Whoa, now that is amazing," Katy said as she watched the Historian's gash heal.
"Yeah it is a pretty nifty and useful little tool," the Historian replied.
"I'd say."
The Historian stood and bounced a little, "Yep, good as new."
