Ilid is known for its rich aquatic resources. The province is also popularly known for its dried fish, bagoong and patis industries. Several hydroelectric power plants are also situated in this province.
It has ten towns namely: Branei Island, Calginne City, Hegorti, Kotto City, Oakyul, Palu Island, Usayga, Wudimos, Xintta and Zirik. Two of which are cities, six are municipalities, and the other two are islands.
