Davou is known for its water rich with oyster-producing pearls. Davou is the pearl capital of the country. The province is also known for shipping business. The largest shipping company in the country is based in this province.
It has fifteen towns namely: Alegria, Bermedi, Emiqa, Felicidad, Jammira, Koronwa, Lufexor, Nogut City, Puerto Ava City, Raleve City, Resbab, Ublor, Yagann, Yoami and Zuru. Three of which are cities, two are islands with islet, and the other ten are municipalities.
