"Wake up baby, es la hora para la escuela." I hear Nana's voice say."I'm up." I raise up in bed and stretch.
I watch as she walks out, then grabbed my towel and walked into the bathroom. After about a good hour I'm freshly cleaned and dressed in my usual all Nike attire.
After being able to tame my hair in a decent ponytail, I grab my book bag and walk into the living room planting a kiss on Nana's cheek. "I'll see you later."
"No breakfast hija?" Nana ask.
"I'm getting it now." I smiled grabbing a Nature Valley granola bar off our bar counter.
"Alright my angel have a good day."
"Will do." I say walking out the door and down the porch steps. I tore open my granola bar as I started my morning commute to the school bus stop.
When I reach it as usual there's four other girls and me. Same old same old, they stay to themselves and so do I. After finishing my granola bar and getting rid of the trash, I take out my basketball and start dribbling it between my legs, behind, infront, and between. This was my mind relaxer... basketball.
Just as I started to get into my dribbling my bus arrives. I quickly grabbed my backpack and got on the bus, taking my usual seat all the way at the back. I put in my earphones, drowning out the rowdy teenagers and start tossing my basketball in the air and catching it.

I walked to my first period of Economics quickly, trying to avoid the unneeded sass. "Ten seconds later and you would've been late Ms. Adams" or "Black ink is more intelligent than blue ink Ms. Adams." It was always something with this lady.
I walked into the classroom only to find that she wasn't there yet. I headed to my seat at the far back and placed my head against it.
"Aye Azalea when's y'all game?" I hear a male voice ask. I look up to see a boy named Andre turned towards my desk.
"Richmond High, five p.m, today."
"Damn they got y'all balling on a Monday?"
"Yea, it's Richmond."
"You know you're our star player, you'll lead us to victory you got this." He smiles.
"Thanks Dre', 'preciate man."
"No problem." He says turning around.
"Alright class books out, eyes up here." My teacher says. "Good morning to you all."
I take out my textbook and prepared for this long day.
-
"Pass the ball Shonda, pass the ball!!" My coach yells.
I wave my hand in the air letting Shonda know I was open, gaining her attention she passes me the ball. I quickly fake left and go right, fooling a girl named Christine and shoot a perfect three-pointer.
"Great job girls. Good practice. Grab your bags and be at the bus as soon as possible."
We all nod and head back to our locker room, I place my basketball sweats and hoodie over my uniform, then grab my Nike bag walking out to the bus.
"You ready for the game Adams?" My coach says to me as I board the bus taking my seat at the back.
"Yea coach we got this one." I smile pulling out my earphones.
"That's what I like to hear." She chuckled.
