I looked at Shonda's phone which was positioned on me, as a pair of dog ears and a nose appeared on my face. As I was about to tell her to stop a tongue appeared and licking sound was heard, she tapped the screen and soon my eyes were huge and my mouth was in a saddened positioned.
"What the hell are you doing to my face Shonda?" I asked moving out of the camera's view.
"Showing Snapchat that the attractive friends has ugly moments." She laughed putting her phone away as our coach walked into the gym, alongside out school principal, Mr. Whitaker.
We all quieted down on the bleachers as they stood in front of us. "Adams, Principal Whitaker would like to speak to you." Coach said.
I was lost as to what he could want with me, but I grabbed my backpack and headed after Whitaker who was going into the hall. The hall was empty besides the little freshmen girls who were trying to get the attention of some football players who were to busy clowning each other about a party and who couldn't hold their liquor.
"Ms. Adams can you tell me what happened Monday?" Whitaker asked and then I knew what this was about.
"Some girls came on campus and we got into an altercation." I sighed.
"Do you know why?"
"No sir, I don't."
"I'm suspending you from all preseason game-"
"What?" I furrowed my brows.
"Fighting will not be tolerated, let alone gang violence."
"What? Gang violence?" I asked. "I'm not apart of a gang."
"Miss Adams, several students saw that fight and said that you and the other individuals involved were apart of a gang."
"Principle Whitaker, I have several people who can tell you I'm not apart of a gang. All I do is work, come here, play ball, and care for my grandmother. Some coaches come and see us play preseason, suspend me put me in a whole month of in-school suspension, just don't take that away from me Mr. Whitaker." I pleaded. "Are you punishing the others?"
"You still fought Azalea and this is your punishment, I'm sorry. The others in the altercation with you are not on our campus, so I cannot do anything. I expect so much more from you, don't let this happen again." He said and soon the short balding man was walking down the hallway. Before I knew it, I was sending a round of punches into the nearest locker, only giving it a minor dents.

"Spell top." The voice next to me said.
I picked up my head and looked at the white boy sitting next to me. His brown hair was combed back neatly and glasses covered his green eyes. I never even noticed that there were whites that went here since all you see here are Blacks and a handful of Hispanics.
"Look, I'm really not in the mo-"
"It'll make you smile, I promise. Just don't think about it, do it." He smiled.
Weirdo.
"T-o-p." I sighed.
"Say the word twice."
"Top, top."
"Say it three times."
"Top, top, top."
"Say it four times but faster." He challenged.
"Toptoptoptop." I say quickly.
"What do you do at a green light?"
"Stop." I said.
"Go." He said and then it hit me, I couldn't help the smile that covered my lips. "I told you it would make you smile."
