"This shit is so boring Zach." I whispered to him as the sponsor of National Honor Society spoke to us about maintaining our grades and events we would have to volunteer in.
"You kinda get used to." He chuckled.
"My boyfriend is coming to get me, and we're going to eat then his house because he needs help in math. Do you wanna join?"
"Really?" He asked turning to me.
"Yea of course, I help him and you help me." I smiled. "It's cool if you don't want to."
"No no, I do. I'd like to."
"Great, he should be here once the meeting is over." Just as I said that the meeting was dismissed, Zach and I grabbed our papers we were given and headed to the front.
I scanned the line of cars for the familiar BMW till I heard a familiar voice yell out, "We're over here ugly!". Jacob had his middle finger in the air, directed at me and his massive fro out the window. I shook my head and headed to car with Zach behind me. I slid into the passenger seat and Zach into the back with Jacob.
"Zach this Chresanto and Jacob, Jacob and Babe this is Zach." I said.
I watched as Chresanto turned around and shook Zach's hand and Jacob did the same, before he headed to his house. Zach seemed to loosen up a bit and even nodded his head to Nas as he rapped through the speakers in the car.
"So official come get this issue, some women crazy. I like a woman to show me wisdom. These hoes easily convinced to pop their pussy with a loaded pistol." Zach rapped lowly but still coherent for me to hear causing me to turn around and watch as he rapped gazing out the window. "Y'all ain't meant to be played, says the brother with the signature fade. Still paid, stackin', new stash."
He turned his head and saw Jacob and I staring at him then his cheeks reddened. "My dad was a huge Nas fan, so it's only natural."
"As long as you know your limits with rap, shit knock yourself out man." Jacob shrugged as Chres turned up the song. I smiled once more at Zach before turning around.
-
"We didn't accomplish shit." Jacob said next to me sprawled on the floor before chugging the two-liter Pepsi we ordered with our pizza.
"Speak for yourself, Zach helped me apply for five scholarships and Chres is going to pass his Calculus exam." I said bumping my fist against Zach's, who was attempting to whoop Chres' ass in Spades.
"Zach," I heard Jacob call out. "How you feel about all this stuff going on? Specifically BLM? I know how some people can be, support everything black and still be racist."
The room got quiet besides Future and Drake's Digital Dash playing through a Bluetooth speaker. Zach was a sweet boy and the last thing I wanted was to make him feel uncomfortable. Before I could smack Jacob in his mouth, Zach cleared his throat.
"I want to be a lawyer, so I look at things by the book sometimes, which can be justified by this screwed up system, which explains why we're ranked so high in number of citizens incarcerated per capita." Zach said causing me to sit up as he look over at us. "But me as a person, I agree with the movement. No one should ever have to go through what African Americans do. Voices need to be heard and things need to be changed."
"Y'all got this white boy in here getting all deep and shit." Ray laughed as he stood in the door way of the den. "Man, don't mind Jacob, you respect us, we respect and educate you."
Ray walked to Zach and introduced himself giving Zach a handshake, while I sent a punch into Jacob's shoulder. "Don't make him feel uncomfortable."
"Yessa masta." Jacob joked.
"I'm gonna punch you in the throat." I said rolling my eyes. My phone began to ring and I looked on the screen recognizing the unsaved number, then excused myself from the room. "Hello?"
"Got an answer, Little Red?" Roy's voice said through the phone.
"If I do this, would you do me a favor?" I sighed.
"Anything you want."
-
"You like Shonda?" I asked Zach as we waited outside for Ray who was taking him home.
"Yea I do, she's gorgeous." He smiled.
"Shoot your shot." I nudged him.
"Maybe I can ask Ray for some pointers?" Zach suggested in a question manner.
"Ask Ray for pointers for what?" Ray said appearing next to Zach.
"He likes a black girl."
"Oh man, you really gotta bring your A game. Black women do not settle for less, they deserve the world." Ray said placing his arm on Zach's shoulder and leading him to his car.
I shook my head and headed back into Chresanto's home where we was lying on the floor with his arms behind his head. I lowered myself onto him, straddling him.
"I saw this post that said girls like this position because it easier for you to smack us if we lying." He smiled.
"Possibly."
"Mhm, Zach straight?" Chresanto asked receiving a nod in response. I began to hum along to Summers Over Interlude playing, unconsciously moving my hips. "You're so beautiful."
I laughed, shaking my head. He placed his hand on the back of my neck and pulled my lips to his, slowly kissing me. I parted my lips and allowed his tongue into my mouth, as my hands found my into his hair. His free hand gripped my hair and pulled, causing me to gasp. His lips moved to my neck planting soft kisses and sucking softly.
He sat up slowly and moved his lips from my skin, letting me miss his touch. He pulled his shirt off and went right back to attacking my neck. He moved down to collarbone and I could feel the button's on shirt becoming undone. "Tell me to stop and I will." He whispered.
Don-
"Chresanto, come get these groceries boy!" Chresanto's mother yelled out causing Chres to fall back on to the floor and me to immediately button my shirt back up.
"Pops can do it!" He snapped.
"I'm not asking him, I'm asking you. Don't make me snatch you up Chresanto August." She yelled back. Chresanto smacked his lips as I laughed softly. "I saw Megan and her mother at the store, make sure you tell Megan I need my bowls back from the other day y'all hung-"
