This is so fun.

"Come on!" Finn whispers. "Faster! Fuck, Aubrey!"

"Finn, shut up!" I hiss, moving quicker.

"You're going to make us lose!" he snaps.

"Shut the hell up!" I say under my breath.

We hung around the party for a few more hours, and we left. It's two in the morning now. We all went to Daniel and I's house, and we jumped the fence into the golf course, and we made teams.

The only rule is that a spouse can't be with a spouse.

So, Sadie and Roxy are with Josh, Daniel is with Sky, and I'm with Finn.

Sadie, Roxy, and Josh are it, and Finn is impatiently shoving me up a tree.

We aren't allowed to hide with anybody other than our teammate.

I scurry up the tree. Finn follows, sitting on the branch next to me.

Finn is like my brother.

I peek through the leaves.

"If you get up caught, I swear-"

I hear hurried footsteps. He stops bitching at me.

Finn is so competitive.

I suppose that's a good thing, because we have yet to get caught, and we're in the eighth round.

We don't have bases, we just have to keep running from people when we get caught.

"This tree is a bad idea." I whisper.

He waves of me off.

I changed into black Nike sweatpants and a dark blue tank top. My blonde hair is thrown up into a ponytail.

There's no lights on the golf course because the place is closed.

We are the total target.

He and I are perfectly aware that we're the target.

"Come out, you two! We've been caught!" Daniel yells.

I roll my eyes.

"He's lying." I whisper.

So we stay put.

"I told you it wouldn't work." Sadie hisses. "Finn isn't stupid, and Aubrey sure as hell doesn't believe you!"

I pull my phone out. my brightness is down.

I text me.

Me: you can't help other people

I send it.

Me: cheater

I put my phone back in my pocket.

He starts laughing.

They're close enough that if we got down, they'd hear us.

This fucking tree is in the middle of the golf course.

If they surround the trunk, we can't get down.

Neither one of us move.

I see movement nearby.

I look at Finn.

He doesn't move. He's cringing.

The rule though, is in order for a team to get caught, they have to catch both teammates.

So, if one of us gets caught, that leaves one person left to get tagged.

"We've not been tagged!" Sky screams.
