Dear Misty,
It's really weird writing. I haven't had to much since finishing school. Still, I promised I'd keep in touch and I don't want you to have a reason to hit me.
Hoenn is a lot different than Kanto and Johto. There are plenty of new Pokemon I've never seen before and there are plenty I still can't wait to battle. Brock came here to travel with me, by the way. He didn't tell me he was coming and it ended up being a surprise. It was a kind of bittersweet moment since it's practically always been the three of us together (except in the Orange Islands where we were with Tracy and Brock stayed with You-Know-Who) and, well, I was expecting you to be there when Brock showed up.
So Brock's here now... and, of course, we talk about you a lot. At least about how nice it is not to have you yelling at us all the time.
It was a joke, Misty....
Maybe.
You know, I thought writing letters was supposed to be more fun. Me and Pikachu have had plenty of adventures. We have two Hoenn League badges. I've caught some new Pokemon... made some new friends... but at the same time I just don't see the point in writing everything down. Plus it takes forever and I don't have time anyway. Not when we're traveling so much.
So yeah, we're doing pretty good. Oh, Pikachu says he misses you. Brock says hi... and now Max and May want to read my letter even though I told them it was private. I better go. Write back soon, ok?
