"You guys are the most talked about thing of New York!" Tony shouts chucking multiple magazines on the table. I pause the movie; tangled, and pick up one of the magazines, Steve does the same.
"It's... Us" he says with a smile. I look at the cover photo to see a picture of me and Steve kissing at that restaurant with a big title across the top reading
"AVENGERS IN LOVE"
I laugh at the title
"People actually care about this?" I ask confused, tony nods in reply.
"You should've seen last months issue, it was an article on me saying what type of coffee do genius billionaire playboy philanthropist's drink"
"Oh wow how important I can't believe I missed that one!" I say sarcastically
"You wait until that happens to you because it will!" He says walking off I chuckle at the comment
"So seems us kissing is quite important to the people" he says
"Yeah we should do it more often" I say whilst pulling his lips to mine.
"Hey do you wanna get out of here? Do something go for a walk or something like that?" He asks with a cheesy smile
"Yeah ok let's go" I grab his hand and run to the front door dragging him behind me.
"So we've walked talked what now" he asks
"Tacos?" His smile grew
"I like your thinking romanoff"
Walking to the taco place something felt off, wrong even, and whenever I get this feeling it's always on some sort of mission that goes wrong Barton calls it my 'widow sense' but that just might be because I'm not programmed to well.. love and now I think that I'm madly in love with Steve so it's probably normal to feel this right?
"Nat you ok?"
"Hmm yeah I just feel a bit funny all of a sudden like somethings going to happen" he looks at me worried
"Is this the 'widow sense' Barton's always talking about?"
I nod.
"Shall we turn back?" He asks
"No no I'm not ruining today come on let's go"
As we continue walking down the street the feeling that something bad is gonna happen grows and I just know something isn't right I haven't felt this way since well you know.
Minutes of walking and small talk Steve even starts to get anxious even and old man like Steve can tell somethings not right. With all the pedestrians staying unnatural still, the quietness in the air and just the lack of police sirens in New York something definitely isn't right and I'll bet it has to do with us
"Maybe we should turn back" Steve says
"You feel it too?" I ask, he nods
"Nat it's too quite we're in the middle of New York and it's dead silent and what's even worse is we're on the front covers of magazines so you'd think we'd have at least one weird man with a camera following us but it's empty that's except for the unusually still cyborg like civilians"
"I was thinking the same thing let's go I'll call shield on the way back"
Heading back to avengers tower I notice my cell suddenly doesn't have service which is odd since I'm on a stark satellite which means I get service pretty much anywhere in the world that's unless...someone's blocking it.
"Steve" I clutch onto his hand and stay close too him
"We have 2 at our 3 o'clock and 2 at our 6 o'clock" I whisper into his ear
"You take 3 o'clock I'll take 6" and with that we jump into a fight with them not expecting it. Not matter what we're going to find out just who they're working for and I'm not asking politely.
