I woke up suddenly and looked around.  All I saw was darkness.  The clock had 3:07 illuminating in electric blue light.  Then I noticed the noises.  It was Sam, he was thrashing around in his bed.  Oh no, he must be having nightmares.  Hesitantly, I got out of my own bed and walked over to his.

"Shh, shh, Sammy, it's okay." I whispered, stroking his damp hair.  He calmed and returned to light snoring.  I turned to go back to bed, but I couldn't move.  Sam had grabbed my shirt.  I sighed, unsure of what to do.

"Please, don't leave me." he said in his sleep.  Another sigh escaped my lips.  I guess I have to wake him.

"Sammy..."  I whispered, touching his cheek with my palm.  He gasped awake.

"Dean?"

"Yeah, Sammy, it's me.  You seemed to be having some kind of nightmare"

"It was about Jess, I dreamt about her death all over again, but then it suddenly switched to a happy memory of you and I as kids."

"Well, I did try to calm you down." My cheeks heated, yet again.  Why the hell am I blushing so much?

"Thanks" he whispered

"I'm going back to sleep, are you going to be okay?" I asked, turning back to my bed.  He grabbed my wrist.

"Please, don't be creeped out by this, but can you stay with me tonight? You keep the nightmares away."  he asked awkwardly.  I nodded, completely surprised by his request.  He scooted to the other side of the bed, making room for me, and being sure to leave at least a foot between our bodies.

"Night Dean"

"Night Sammy"

After a few minutes, I heard Sam start snoring softly again.  Finally, I can sleep now, knowing he's asleep.

I woke up again.  This time it was 6:37.  I looked down and saw Sam's head, literally laying on my chest.  His arms were wrapped tightly around my waist.  I relaxed, Sam being this close to me was actually... nice.  His hair was laying over his eyes.  I moved it away, his face scrunched up when my finger moved across his skin. Shit, he was waking up.  His eyes fluttered open.  I tried not to smile at his cuteness.  Once he realized what he was doing, his cheeks blushed fiercely and he moved away as fast as he could.

"Uh... Dean, I'm sorry. I didn't even realize I was doing that." He was talking fast.

"No, Sammy, it's fine. Whatever" I smiled.

"Oh, um, okay. I guess I'll go get changed, then." he said awkwardly before grabbing clothes out of his bag and hurrying to the bathroom.

A few minutes later, he came out and I went in.  Once I was changed, we walked next door to Dad's room to discuss another case we found in the area.

A couple hours passed until Dad let us go back to our room for a quick break and to do some research.  Sam has been weird around me since this morning.  I watched as he researched online, he still is cute when he concentrates.  He happened to look up at me.

"What?" he smiled.

"Nothing" I smirked.  He shook his head and went back to his laptop.  I can't take this anymore.

"Hey, Sam, can I try something?  But you have to promise you won't get weirded out by it." I explained nervously.  He nodded in curiosity.  I took a deep breath, leaned over the small table and kissed his lips.  He stiffened and didn't kiss back.  I pulled way, tears burning my eyes and went to walk out the door.

"Dean! Wait!" he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back over to him.

"What?" I spat out.  I couldn't help but be angry.  It wasn't his fault, though, I shouldn't have been that stupid. He made me face him.  Before I knew what he was doing, his lips met mine.  I melted into the kiss.  He deepened the kiss and moved his hands to my waist as my arms wrapped around his neck.  A few seconds passed. He pulled away.

"I'm sorry, Dean.  I never expected you to kiss me.  It took me by surprise." he smiled.  I leaned in to kiss him again. This time, he kissed back.

"How long?" I asked when he broke the kiss.

"Since I was 17" he whispered, blushing.

"Since I was 21" I whispered back, "the same time as you"

He smiled and put his forehead against mine, I smiled back. I moved my hands to cup his face and quickly peck his lips.

"Is it too early to say I love you?" I asked.

"I love you." he replied. I laughed.

"I love you, too." I hesitated for second, "Do you think we're moving too fast?"

"Dean, we've literally known each other for all of our lives. Now we are just making up for lost time." he kissed my lips again.  "And it's not like we are hopping into bed with each other."

"Well, I mean..." I slid my hand up his shirt.  He laughed.

"Yeah, no.  At least not right now" he removed my hand.  I pouted.  He pulled me in for yet another kiss.
