I sat up in bed and checked my phone. A text from my mom:

"Hi Bethy, how are you feeling?"

I replied: "Okay, the antidepressants are making me feel like crap though."

I waited 3 minutes before I got a tresponse: "Poor thing, I love you"

I respond: "Thanks, love you too 😘"

"Here you are" Mason hands me my tea

"Thanks" I stare at his facial features

Black hair, pinkish lips, gray eyes.

We drink our tea in silence, a comfortable silence.

"We should take you to a doctor."

"Why?"

"You don't look well, you're extremely skinny, and you got really pale, and sad, sickly looking. No offense. You're beautiful"

"I don't want to go anywhere"

"Beth, you need too"

"No..." I whine

I know I need to, I just don't want to.

My stomach feels, agh, and I run to the bathroom and puke in the toluet.

"Are you okay?" Mason comes in and holds my hair back.

"I think." I sigh and brush my teeth

"Doooocterssssss" Mason sing/says

"Fine." I say

---

We pull up to the doctors office and go inside.

"Hello, do you have an appointment?"

The oh-too-perky nurse said

Mason answered "Bethany Mack?"

"Oh yes, have a seat, the doctor will be right with you." She smiles and points to a waiting room.
