"Wh-what?"

Mason stays silent

"We did some blood tests, " the doctor said

"And it's not final." he continued

I look to Mason. His eyes look watery, is he crying?

We paid the bill and got to the car in silence.

"We didnt even-"

"We did"

"When?" I ask

"That one night"

"Oh."

We drove home and Mason is silently crying the whole way home.

He parks and starts laughing...?

"What?"

"We might have a kid Bethany! That's supposed to be awesome!"

"But we aren't married Mason! We're not ready..."

"Sure we are, we just have to be positive!"

He turns to me and takes my hand.

"Just stay positive..." I repeat

We go inside. "we can put the room

Here" he grabs my hand and points to the guest room..

"And, and, it can have a crib and a toy box." I'm crying still and Mason is still pointing thins out, like a little kid.

"It'll be great."

I laugh. "I don't know Mas"

"I do, we'll be great parents!"

"Not with my antidepressants! I'm a mess, then plus hormones, i'll be a wreck"

"I'll help you"

I nod and hug Mason.
