Maddys pov

I limped away from a shocked Mark. I think he was as confused as i was about this whole thing, he had never snapped at anyone before, I guess he was annoyed about erin and thought it was Lucys fault and i guess he really liked Erin..? I pushed my thoughts of erin and mark to the back of my head. It was clear he liked her and not me. I was ugly..
'Focus maddy!' I whispered furiously into the woods as I searched for Lucy.
After padding along for around 5 minutes i heard a faint sob to my right. I limped over to find Lucy crouched down by a tree. She looked up at me and furrowed her eyebrows.
'What are you doing?' She asked, confused.
'I umm... came to save you!' I said equally as confused. Why wasn't she happy to see me?
'You should have left me for Slenderman. I have nobody, my life is pointless and tiring and useless.' She began to sob again.
'Oh Lucy... you have me.' I whispered as i crouched with her.
'Besides, if you died who would pay rent?' I asked. She giggled and hugged me. We sat in embrace wondering how we got into this mess. I mean why pick us? We were not-very-popular vloggers unlike the famous YouTubers surrounding us. Lucy had about 1180 subscribers last time i checked and i had around 1210 people surporting me. I pulled her up.
'Come on, how many pages have we got left?' She asked in a small voice. I looked down.
'One, I think? We have two pages each, so four, and mark had two, so six. Erin had one, thats seven out of eight, and so there is just one left now!' I told her as we walked on. She suddenly took out a page that was in her pocket. It showed mark.
'This...its erins page. I found it when i ran off. She must have dropped it.' She sighed and handed it to me. I nodded and stared at the green tick for a second. I pushed him out of my mind and shoved it into lucys hand.
'Lets..lets just keep going...yeah?' I sighed and she suddenly looked down and finally noticed my limp.
'Oh my gosh! Maddy what did you do to your leg?' She gasped and put her hand to her mouth. It was quite funny actually.
'Chill. I fell over a tree on my first encounter with the static. It hurts like hell but i can deal with it.' I smiled weakly. She stifled a laugh.
'Y..you are the clumsiest person i know, but thats why i luv you!' We both began to laugh. It felt good to be happy again. This has been hell, and I couldn't wait to get out. Would we get out? Would they just carry on with Horror games until we were all dead? I clutched Lucys hand in fear as we continued.
We had been walking for ages, encountered slendy once and thats when the thought came to me. Im slowing us down with my limp. It should have been me, not erin. Erin was quick and could have Mark aswell. It would break me to see them together but I couldn't let them hide their feelings.
'It... it should have been me.' I whispered and Lucy looked at me with confusion and fear in her eyes.
'No Maddy. As soon as you go blaming yourself for E....Erin,' She stumpled on the words,
'Bad things with happen. I can't exactly remember the quote?!' She smiled, still scared of my answer.
'Lets go find that page.' I murmered and began to limp away.
Soon a large metal fence came into veiw in the distance. We then felt the static, heavier than before, we ran. The pain in my leg was excruciating. We hit the fence and turned around. A tall man in a suit.
'CLOSE YOUR EYES!!' I shouted at Lucy.
'IF YOU SEE HIS FACE YOU WILL DIE!' I yelled my information about Slenderman to Lucy, who clearly had never played the game.
'WHAT IF HE TOUCHES US?' She yelled.
'UMM.. WE DIE I GUESS!' I yelled back. She cluched my hand and we stood awaiting our death. Suddenly a loud screeching could be heard and i dropped my page. Slenderman dissappeared into the woods, i heard his loud steps.
'Open your eyes!' lucy whispered to me.
'No.' I stated.
'Yes. Now.' she whispered again. I opened my eyes to find Mark clutching the last page, with a ripped shirt and messy hair. I resisted the urge to run into his strong, muscular arms. No. He loved Erin. His eyes were full of guilt.
'Im so so sorry Lucy!' He said in his husky deep voice.
'Will you forgive me?' He seemed sincere.
'On one condition,' She said quickly. Me and mark looked at her confused.
'Hug maddy. Properly.' She showed me a devilish grin as I was pulled into a gentle, loving hug by the man i liked. My heart skipped a beat as he whispered,
'I like you,' and put me down. I must have looked stupid just stood there shocked because lucy burst out laughing.
'So.. If i pick up my last page we will have completed the game?' I asked.
'Yeah, i think,' Mark said, not taking his eyes if mine. I limped over to pick it up and I felt marks gaze on my foot.
'What happened?' He asked, concerned. I let lucy explain and he smiled.
'You are clumsy and i think its cute.' he said.
'AWWH!' Lucy screeeched, almost scaring me but im used to her by now. I picked up my page and the dark night turned light. and a large door appeared in the fence a bit away. They both began to run towards it and I limped as fast as I could, it was hurting now, more than before. I had to sit. I couldn't walk anymore. They both turned around as I felt a single tear strike my cheek. Mark ran over, lifted me bridal style and continued to run. I grabbed his shirt as he ran. We came up to the door. He put his hand on it and I closed my eyes. Was this it? Was I going to find myself in my bed, with no way of contacting mark except commenting on his videos, tears pricked my eyes as I hid myself in his shirt.
