chapter 2

Lucys pov

I felt myself falling and falling through the black abyss. I grabbed a hand, i regognised it at maddys as we pulled ourselves closer. We heard Screames shortly before hitting the harsh ground, i saw maddys lifeless body before i closed my eyes. When I reopened them i found myself in a room under a bed.
Next to me was erin; mine and maddys best friend. Her hair was slightly longer and black. She was wearing jeans and a leather jacket. We both looked really confused. Next to us was Zoe. We looked out from under the bed and saw a girl with glasses and a low cut top starting to unbutton her top. Infront of her was Dan, looking really horrified. I saw a camera in the corner of the room, recording the whole thing. Zoe suddenly started giggling and she pulled her top back up, covering her breasts. Phil and Mark appeared from the cupboard and we crawled out from under the bed.
'Wha..what are yo..you doing he.here?' She exclaimed. She suddenly dashed out the room, embarrassed. We rushed out, and saw maddy following her. Her sister, presumably, appeared and looked shocked at us. We were all forced outside. We watched Hannah walk away.
'It was just a prank, Han!' Erin called out uncontrollably.
'You guys are jerks' Beth commented before following her sister into the forest, snow speckled our hair.
I knew where we were. We were in a game. We were characters in Until Dawn...

In the game Hannah runs off and Beth follows but for some reason i can't remember what happens to them. Ive watched hundreds of youtubers play it but i just can't remember.
My mind was blank. I looked anxiously at everyone. We were forced to retreat back inside. Music started playing. The music for the game. We all looked around, trying to find where it was coming from. I was scared; especially when everything went black...

Joes pov

I was in a small room, with no doors, just a telly infront of me and a controller. It showed a cast list. A voice suddenly boomed around the box room.
'Joe, in front of you are your friends. You choose their paths, whether they live or die. Ur choices decide their future. You can not escape, so there is no point in trying. If you play the game right, ur friends will survive. If you play it wrong they have three seconds to save themself. They cannot escape from the game until you play through the night. First of all you need to decide which character is going to be played with who. You will have no further help with the game. Good luck. You will need it...' and the voice cut off.
I looked down the list on the telly. I thought for a few seconds who would suit who. In the end i decided to put the characters with these friends:
Sam-Maddy
Ashley-Lucy
Chris-Phil
Mike-Dan
Jessica-Zoe
Matt-Mark
Emily-Erin
Josh-Marcus
Beth-Beth
Hannah-Hannah
I decided to keep beth and hannah the same as the ones in the game because i didn't know who to put them as. I pressed enter and the game began. The begging was like a video and i had no control over it. When Hannah ran into the forest I was playing as beth and i choose which paths to follow to find her.
I jumped and dodged at the right points. Beth wrapped her coat around hannah and they stood up shocked. They heard a strange noise. They suddenly ran through the woods and slipped down a mountain.
Beth grabbed onto a branch and held hannah with her other hand. A man leaned over the top and offered his hand. I had to decide whether i should let go or drop hannah. I quickly pressed let go and they fell onto some rocks, cutting themselves. The last image before the opening credits was them rolling towards the camera.

I sat shellshocked. I had to keep my friends alive. They were relying on me to keep them safe. They put their faith in the wrong person...
