I wake up to the sound of a loud guitar riff as an alarm on my phone. I groggily open my eyes then stare at the ceiling. After a couple more hits of the snooze button, I finally decided to actually get up. I lift myself up, just sitting on my bed staring at the wall.

If this were a day where i'd be going to the eiffel tower or something, i'd already be up. But getting up super early in the morning for school just kills my vibe.

A few weeks back my mom told me the news that i'm gonna be going to public school. Online school, I could deal with, but a public school? That place is full of....

Okay, there's way too much to name, but it's just crap.

I finally get up on my feet to go to the bathroom, look at myself in the mirror, then put a handgun sign next to my head.

Kill me now.

I take a quick shower then put on my robe. I do my regular face routine, then in the middle of applying moisturizer all over my face, I hear loud banging on the door.

"Get out of there! I have school today too you know!" I hear my little brother yell as he bangs on the bathroom door.

"Just give me 20 minutes! ...or an hour!" I yell back.

"An hour?! Ugh i'll just use the one downstairs" he said to himself, then I hear him walk down the stairs.

I taught myself to get ready in under 10 minutes. But since I live in a house now and have no rush to go anywhere that cool, why not take my time right?

After straightening my hair and doing a bit of makeup, I stare at myself in the mirror. I go closer to it then smile.

"Wow, you're cute" I grin as point at the myself through mirror.

I know what people think.

Who are you trying to impress?

Me.

I love makeup, not just to cover up my face or impress people, but because it's fun and it's one of the things I like to do cause it makes me happy. Some days, i'm like "looks don't matter", the other days I walk into the room looking and feeling like Beyonce.

I then walk back to my messy, unorganized room. I look through my closet looking for the uniform, but I couldn't find it.

And of course, I found it on the floor.

I threw it on the ground the other day 'cause it looked like trash to me.

I put it on then cringe a bit at myself in the mirror. It's so basic and plain. Whatever. That'll do, I guess.

I go downstairs and pour KoKo Krunch into a bowl. I see Nick and notice he's sorta wearing the same ish uniform, but guy version. The same school with my little brother. So peachy.

"You excited for today?" I spoke, trying to start a decent conversation with my brother for once.

"I actually am. Heard they have this sick basketball team I might join" He beams as he comes up next to me with a bowl, grabbing the box of Koko Krunch I just used. "Maybe meet some girls"

Nick is a freaking basketball player and skater boy, why do I feel like he'd become more popular.

"You?"
