Chapter 8 The Winning Shot

Possession of the Resistance Japan again. Atsuhi passes it to Hakuryuu, then to Ichiban. He protected the ball by the hissatsu.

Ichiban used his dribble hissatsu, "Instant Dash!"

He passed it to Moyobashi which is defended by Manabe, who tries to steal the ball from him.

"Defense Equation! (Defense hissatsu)" He stole the ball away, but, Hakuryuu steals the ball from Manabe.

He dribbles to the goal and passes to Moyobashi, then back to him. His hissatsu is.....the one that is really hard to block. This one is crazy, because it seem to just teleport on the goal.

"Phantom shoot!"

Ibuki gets ready, "This drives me crazy, but I'll try."

But before he could do anything else, the ball is inside the goal, just like what happened on their last game with them. Score 2-1. Inazuma Japan's lead. Tsurugi and Hakuryuu were in a tight guarding again.

"I won't let you win this." Tsurugi smugly replied.

Hakuryuu said, "Do you think I won't do the same?"

Kickoff by Shindou to Tenma.

"Tenma, protect the possession."

He was guarded by Gomaki. He must pass through him. Then the timer ticks, 3 minutes left to the game.

"What? 3 minutes? Can we do that?" Yukimura Asked.

Tenma passed to him by his hissatsu, "Z-slash!"

He passed to Gomaki and then passes the ball to Kusaka. But Yukimura cuts the pass. Back to the opponents ball. Yukimura and Hakuryuu must do the shoot chain.

"Panther Blizzard!"

"White Hurricane!"

Again, Yara runs and covers the goal.

"Star Convergence!"

Rensuke was pissed, "Tsk, she blocked it again. Damnit."

Yara gives the ball to Shindou and used a hissatsu tactic.

"God's Baton Fire Illusion! Tenma, Tsurugi!"

"Alright."

The duo prepared for a shoot chain they haven't used in a long time.

"Fire Tornado Double Drive!" The ball was soon covered with the heat of fire, scorching to the opponents goal.

"The Raimon strategy!" Aoi exclaimed.
Yamato tried to block it, "Spitfire!" His hissatsu failed, letting the ball get in the goal.

The buzzer alarmed, signaling the end of the game. The Inazuma Japan wins! Score 3-1, first time defeat of the Resistance Japan.

"Dang! We...lost." Said Rensuke.

The other members of the team celebrated a bit because they had defeated the team who once crushed them before. Their manager joined them as well.

"That was awesome!" Kusaka said.

"Indeed! We won!"

Hakuryuu looked at them before approaching, "I see, this weak team has gotten stronger."

Tsurugi stood in front of him, "Next time, don't just go underestimating people 'on your way'."

"Yeah right." Hakuryuu offered a hand shake to him. "We can do this again next time."

Tsurugi accepted his handshake, "From now on, the Inazuma Japan will be always ready to fight you."

"That's great to hear. Let's go guys. The day is way too wholesome for us."

The Resistance Japan got out of their field, but Yara wondered about the 'closeness' of Tsurugi and Hakuryuu. How are they related?

In either way, her question left unanswered as the team also left the field and headed for the quarters because of tiredness.
