Chapter 27 Heated Battle

Its Gurdon's lead, 1-2. Here's why:

Pheasun and Parikee (both forwards) shoots very intensely that Ibuki can't block those. The Earth Eleven's first goal was from Tenma's God's Wind. Shindou's soul Kujaku succeed in dribbling, but the shot after it failed. They're now panting because of the Gurdon's heat.

"I can't focus when its really hot! I need more water." Tetsukado complained.

"I didn't expect that the volcanoes' heat will be in here." Yara said as she cooled herself with her magic.

"Whatever the environment is, we need to play. Plus, its just only one point, so don't let the lead so in order to win. We can do this Earth Eleven!!" Tenma motivated.

"Hai Captain!"

The buzzer rings and the games starts. Its Earth Eleven's kickoff. Sakura continued dribblin' but Mayon's defense is so tight. Mayon stole the ball from her.

"Aarggh dang!" Sakura hissed.

"Good job, Mayon! Others, protect the possession! Parikee, go shoot!" Arbega directed.

"Hai!"

The Gurdon Eleven moves. They passed throught Tetsukado and Manabe. Ibuki decided to use his soul. He have to, or the other team will score. Parikee shoots with his hissatsu technique.

"Volcanic Thunderstorm!" Parikee used his hissatsu.

Ibuki uses his soul Mammoth. Yep, the ball is stopped, but the possession is still on Gurdon. Ves got the ball and normally shot, which Ibuki had stopped for the 2nd time but the third time, he used a different hissatsu technique.

"Lava Flow!!"

"Rising Slash!"

"Alright! Another goal for Gurdon! Ves just cracked Ibuki's blocking strength!"

Shindou gritted his teeth, "He shouldn't have used his soul in the first shot. Tch."

Two point lead, 1-3.

Tenma has the ball and passed to 4 players defending the goal by the hissatsu "Zephyr Wind Step". Secreta tried to defend and steal the ball but no use. He passed it to Starsight then to Tsurugi.

"Death Sword!"

Arbega's eyes widened, "I didn't expect that his shot will be this strong. Volcano Head!" He summoned his hissatsu.

Earth Eleven scores, but the Gurdon is still one point up. While watching the game, Roglos sees Yara soul flaming in her aura. He knows that its time to let it out, but he'll never do anything. Its user has to.

In herself, Yara felt something inside her; fire. Is that Roglos wanted? To unleash her soul to defeat his own planet? That doesn't matter. What's important is the current game.

"Defenders, make your job more intense. Come on, thet's one point lead again." Shindou planned.

"Okay, let's start!" The captain hollered.

"Let's see if we can break their defense once again. Offense Gurdon Eleven!" Arbega said.

And so they started. Earth Eleven taking the defense while Gurdon on offense. Its still their ball, and within in another goal, Earth Eleven might be eleminated so far. Misty dribbled, and ran accelerated, that causes Konoha and Kusaka lost their balance. She's followed by Pheasun and Etuna. Shindou have seen this move too many times, and knew what these 3 players do.

"Oh no, a hissatsu technique that needs three people. That's strong!" Manabe commented.

Minaho tries to stop Misty.

"Trace Pre-" He failed to use his technique.

The 3 players are coming nearer the goal.

Ibuki warms up as they approach, "I'm ready whatever you'll do." But his thoughts say, 'What should I do... they're 3! How could I? I've never blocked any hissatsu technique that needs 3 people.'

Misty, Pheasun and Etuna then summoned their hissatsu, "Red Clouds!"

Yara goes and leaves her position with a large space. Wait, what?! With a large space?

-FLASHBACK-

It was Tsurugi and Yara who first noticed what the 3 Gurdon players are doing. He was sure that Ibuki can't block their shoot because he had no experience of blocking a hissatsu technique like that. So he make Yara go and block it.

"Why? And leave the my position with a space? No way!" Yara refused at first.

Tsurugi smiled and patted her shoulder, "I'll take care of that. But for now... You need to go and block that shot."

Yara set herself thinking, "Are you sure you'll cover me?"

"Of course."

"Okay, I got it!" She posed a peace sign at him

Now on her foot is a ball whose powered-up by a hissatsu technique. Arbega stares on her and calculates. The wind around her sparkles again. What was that? A soul.... she transformed into her 2nd Soul; a firebird. She showed the wings of endless and massive fire, which amazed her teammates. Firebird's wings are stronger, that make the shoot fling away.

"Invincible!! Starsight uses her 2nd soul! Wait...how come that she have a 2nd soul?" The announcer wondered.

She transformed back to her form and Tsurugi approached her.

"How was that?"

"That was amazing. I told you, you have to."

Arbega narrowed his eyes, "She blocked it. Gurdon, tighten the defense. Now don't let them pass through you."

"Hai!"

Tenma said, "Forwards, we need a quick shot!"

"Tsurugi's on it. I'll just go assist him." Yara replied.

"Good. Let's start!"

The Gurdon defenders started guarding tightly, so Tsurugi had some kind of difficulty in passing through them. He saw Yara and gives the ball to her. The time that she's near to the goal, he gives the ball back to him again. He started to shoot.

"Death Drop!"

"Volcano Head!" He started his technique, "Too much velocity... ARGH!"

He lets the ball in and the score ties, but the Earth needs a goal one more.

"Guys, we don't have much time and look, the possession is still ours." Minaho pointed.

Shindou whispered, "What a chance."

"Yara, its your turn to shoot."

"As you said. Alright!" She agreed.

"Tss...we shall get ready after this." Misty said.

Yara dribbles again and shoots.

"Blazing Star!!" She summoned her shoot hissatsu.

"Igneous Rock!!" Mayon defended.

"Oh no....Volcano Head!!" His hissatsu also failed.

In the end, Earth Eleven wins.
