Chapter 23 Double Couple

Aoi and Tenma is on the terrace of the Galaxy Nauts Gou, talking about the remaining games of Earth Eleven.

"So, 4 planets to battle to. That's near to the Grand Finals." Aoi said.

"I don't think about the Grand Finals, reallY. I mind about our game against the Gurdon. Its hard to play soccer in a hot environment, don't you remember?" Tenma replied.

"Hm, yeah. Maybe tactics can do something, like what we did in Sazanaarah.

"That's what I'm testing. Well I'm not good at memorizing, so may you write it?"

"Sure." She clicked the pen and got a paper.

Even if thinking about the game, Tenma's optimistic attitude is still oh his face. He can't really hide his cheerfulness. Aoi started writing what he said; possible ways to defeat Gurdon. Then, Aoi dropped her pen, and almost at the same time, they tried to retrieve it.

They hold each other's hands. Of course, they both blushed. Tenma, who is staring at Aoi, knew that she has a crush to him. Since the day he discovered it, he couldn't believe that. How does his crush, had an interest to him too? He was happy that day, and bonded more with her.

While on Aoi's side, she is afraid that Tenma might know her secret feelings to him. He was her best friend who was always by her side. But....what if he knew it? She thinks that she'll break their current relationship. Negativity on her feelings is on her mind, all....no positive. So she released their hold. She couldn't say any word and bit her own lip. Tenma began to talk.

"...Aoi?" Tenma called.

"Uhh...sorr-" She apologized first, but was cut by Tenma.

"I should have said that because I'm the one who held your hand, right? Tell me, d-do you have f-feelings for me?" The male managed to ask.

Aoi eyes widen when she heard it, and her cheeks burned. She tries to deny.

"What? No, no... w-we're friends, right?"

"Aoi, don't deny. I already knew." He blushed and looked away.

Aoi started trembling, "W-Wh-What?"

"What's the matter?"

" Actually, I'm scared of telling you, once you discover it, it might destroy our friendship and don't talk to me anymore. Now that you knew....what now?" Aoi had a saddened look on her face.

Tenma holds Aoi's hands again.

"You know me too well, I'll never do that. In fact I liked you too. I'm not joking so don't ask."

Aoi's face became a tomato, "Really?"

"Yeah. I was shocked when I heard that you like me. But at the same time, I was happy."

"Friendship between a boy and a girl can't be friendship forever. So..."

"I'll give you time to think about our beginning relationship." He smiled and hugged her.

They saw the volcano on the west, starting to spew out lava.

"Look! Its erupting!!"

As Tenma said that go in partners, they go and stroll around the Gurdon's Capital. So, Yara and Tsurugi were together. They're going nearer to the volcano being said by Hecate.

"Hey, let's go back. Hecate said that its erupting." Tsurugi said.

Yara insisted, "Yeah but I want to watch it erupt, can't we? Lava can't reach us here." 

"Don't you know its dangerous? What if a stray lava rock fell here?"

"Don't you remember that I have an ace?" She showed her magic once again.

Tsurugi sighed, "Alright then. Why do you want to watch it? Haven't you seen one?"

"Once on Equestria. It happened on the majestic volcano Griffonstone."

"Griffonstone... what a beautiful name just like hers," He said underneath his breath.

"Oh-oh-oh,its starting!!" Yara pointed out.

Then it exploded. The burning rocks blasted everywhere. Some debris are heading their position. Tsurugi saw those and smirked. He already knew what she will do. She made a magic forcefield that protected them from those. Few minutes, the eruption stopped, leaving the volcano's foot full of lava.

"Its finished, shall w-"

Yara suddenly hugged Tsurugi without even thinking, "Thanks for accompanying me."

Tsurugi was taken aback by her action, but managed to act normal.

"Y-You're welcome. Now can we go back?"

She realized that she is hugging her crush, so she quickly released. That make her feel embarrassed.

"Eh...oh....gomen....." She stuttered.

"That's okay. No problem. Let's go." He said and took her hand.

"E-Eehhh?!"
