A few weeks had gone by and signs of summer were beginning to show. Weeks after weeks I had pondered on calling Ryan back, but I was scared that if I asked him he would have thought I was 'clingy'. It felt like whatever we had going has completely halted, and this upset me so much, especially as Sadie and James were always together every second they could which left me alone.

The weeks were filled with school and Hunter being his usual weirdly entertaining self, we never talked about Drake and never did I see him again. I didn't want to upset Hunter so I never asked. We had become really good friends, we helped each other to forget the things that were surrounding us constantly like disappearing Brothers or in my case, disappearing best friends. I tried to avoid Sadie as much as possible, her and James were getting really close, and although it annoyed me about the amount of time she was spending with him, I would rather she was with him than telling me how much a good kisser James was. Those things should never be talked about to siblings. Just gross. But there was another reason, and it was due to the tiny seed of jealousy growing at the back of my mind, Sadie finally had someone but I had reached back to square one. Ryan felt almost like a dream, enchanting but starting to become unbelievable, almost as if our date never existed.

I was spending another weekend at the bakery. It had been a long time since I saw Lucy as she was really busy nowadays due to her new agent, however today she was at the bakery and she was telling me a story about how her agent found her first shampoo commercial, but it was the most bizarre time she had.

"It's in between the x-factor show if you want to watch it, Eric has brought popcorn and everything. The shoot was placed in a forest, but in reality I was just standing in front of a green screen in a Tarzan outfit holding the shampoo-" I start to giggle.

"Tarzan outfit?" I repeat, but I'm quickly hushed.

"Wait, I haven't even gotten to the best part yet. So my line was 'Wild, dangerous and beautiful. Become part of nature as you elope into your deepest, enchanted fantasies with Claire's dark temptations' I know I had said it perfectly because I practiced it to perfection after spending hours repeating it to myself in the mirror. Even Eric knows the line off by heart. So I was surprised when the director goes 'I'm not really feeling it. Tell you what, can you crawl and become a Lion?' "She mimics a large deep voice.

I start spluttering with laughter, just the image of Lucy in a Tarzan look-a-like outfit crawling in front of a green screen was just hilarious.

"I was a bit taken back as you can imagine. So here I am crawling, in front of the director, producer, creator of the product and all my makeup and costume team. I can see them all trying not to laugh. Then he goes can your roar as well. I was about pounce on him and rip his eyes out." I am wheezing with laughter at this point.

"Instead I try to calm down as my agent is looking at me with her pleading eyes, so I give him a roar, then he has the cheek to ask for a louder roar. I do what I'm asked, regretfully. Eventually when he was satisfied, I find out that they don't even include me becoming a Lion in the commercial and stuck with my line at the start." Lucy exasperates.

"Aww Lucy! Not that it matters but I know you would be the hottest lion ever." I say as she hangs her head in embarrassment.

"I know babes, I know. It's a starting point I guess, right? Anyways, enough about me, how's it been at home?" She asks.

"Busy. As usual," I start to play with the loose ends of my apron, and Lucy senses my apprehension, "Sadie is going out with James." I say as she nudges me.

"SHUT UP!" Lucy shouted, astonishment plastered all over her face. Now even my brother has a girlfriend, and I'm the lonely one. The reason she knew James was because they used to be in the same class together as Lucy had to retake a year.
