The sun peeked above the tree line, it's warmth radiating on the horizon. Hana and Maeko lay beside the tree, snoring quietly.

Maeko jolted awake. He cursed underbtearh and shifted uncomfortably. I fell asleep?! Ugh, I really need to work on that.

Maeko looked at Hana, still sleeping soundly, her face gentle and cute in the sun. He shook his head, refusing to think of her like that. Nope. That can't happen.

Hana stirred, her arms twitching. She jolted upright, her eyes flying open. "Maeko! I had the weirdest dream. We were in the forest and then people came chasing us. I think it was your people. Then more people came, my people. They started fighting with your family." Hana was out of breath, her eyes wide and scared.

Maeko sat down and pulled her into his arms. "It's okay, it was just a dream." Hana began to cry, her shoulders shaking. "I... I know, but... what if it's not?" Maeko did not answer.

The sun was high in the sky as Maeko and Hana stalked through the trees.

"We're almost there, just past these trees," whispered Maeko. Hana nodded, silently creeping behind him. "Are you sure this is okay?," she said, worry lacing every word. Maeko shook his head. "It might not end well, but I have some... business to take care of." His voice was a mush of emotions. Hate, sadness, worry.

As the two trekked through the trees, the birds went silent, all the small animals stopped to watch the two walk into what could be there impending deaths...
