chapter 8

Shadows POV

I pulled her close to me as she stared into my eyes until I pressed my lips against hers. It's was soft and sweet. I can tell she was surprised but soon she kissed back. I can tell she was conflicted. Maybe this was not what she wanted. 

We pulled away to breathe and I heard a rustle in the bushes. I turn my head that direction until I'm tackled by a blue blur.

Amy's POV

We pulled apart until we heard a noise in the bushes. Just then shadow gets tackled by who I think tackled him. Sonic. As they tackled on the ground I try and calm sonic down. "Sonic! Stop! Why are you doing this!" I tell as he continues tackling shadow.

He didn't answer and I reach over to Sonics shoulder. I put my hand on his shoulder until "NO!" He slaps my hand and I stumble back. Shadow noticed and stopped tackling sonic, landed a hit to make him distracted, and came immediately to comfort me.

"W-what are you doing sonic?" I said eyes wide. "I....." he stopped and just ran back only as the blue blur again. It was all silent again. Just the wind and is standing in silence. "Thanks shadow, you should head home now.....goodbye" I said looking down. I go up my doorsteps and unlock the door. "Wait amy!" I turn back to see him going g up to me again. "Are you okay? He didn't hurt you badly? I swear the blue dick will pay-" "shadow, please" I interrupt him. After everything I feel so scared, conflicted, and kinda upset. "I'm going to bed" I said.

"Goodbye....Amy" he goes back to his car silently looking down. I look back and he's already gone. I sigh and go inside my house getting a blanket and laid on the couch falling to sleep.

I wake up on the floor with a major headache. "Ugh I need to get up" I stumble up holding my head and go get some Cheerios for breakfast.

"I don't feel like doing anything today" I say to myself as I eat some Cheerios. Just then I get a text from rouge. "Hm?"

(R: rouge)
(A: amy)

R: heeyyyyy how's it going? ;D

A: not that good, I really don't feel like doing anything today

R: awww I'm sowwy for you, but hey if you want I can drop by with ice cream and shit if you want :3

A: aww thanks! C u later then.

R: wait can I invite some peepz

A: depends, which peeps and how many

R: hmmmm about 2 or 3

A: alright that's fine

R: Kay byee!

A: bye

I better get ready then. I go upstairs to my room and gets changed into a purple tank top and put on a soft huge sweater with some leggings. I then go downstairs and finish my cereal.

*knock* *knock*

Must be rouge. I get up and put my bowl away and head for the door.

"Heeyyy" rouge said while entering without my permission. Tails and silver followed but I didn't see the third one, until cream skipped in.

"I see rouge dragged you all here" I say with a chuckle. "You're our friend Amy, we'd come even without rouge! " Cream said smiling. "So what's going on, I heard something about a fight" silver said reaching to get some soda rouge brought.

"Oh um... well..." I say getting a soda as well. "Cmon you can tell us girl" rouge insist. "Last night sonic tackled shadow and they fought a bit, sonic even landed a hand on me once..." I say hesitantly. "HE DID WHAT NOW" Rouge stand up spilling some of cream drink. "Well do you think you know why?" Tails asked. "Well.....it might have been that shadow kissed me...." Just then silver spits out his soda he was drinking on rouge. "HE WHAT!?" silver said laughing. "Sweetie can you hand me a towel?" Rouge said annoyed. "Sure" I said while getting one and passing it to rouge.

"Thank you" she said smiling. She rolled up the towel and smacked it across silver's back. We all cringed and started laughing. Silver was laughing as well but he was still hurt. "Well I think it's cute that he kissed you!" Cream said going to the kitchen getting silver an ice pack. "Yeah! I kinda shipped you with him since the party" tails said drinking his soda. "Hey let's not forget about sonic, he did hit amy and shadow" silver said making sure I was okay. "I think he didn't, mean it, just a reaction I guess" I say refilling creams drink.

"Hehe yeah, but eh idk I don't trust shadow around my best friend" rouge said. "I tilted my head and asked why. "Why not?". "I have a feeling sweetie that all of this is gonna be a dramatic hell whole when you and shadow become a thing, but I trust you to not make it that." Rouge said. "Profanity!" Cream said giggling. "I kinda go with rouge on this" silver said with a nod. "Heh, oh well" I said with a shrug.

The rest of the day we talked about other things that doesn't involve me and shadow. Turns out cream and tails are dating! So cute. It was soon time for them to leave and I got my ice cream rouge was hiding in the fridge. Yay. I sat on my couch turned on the tv and started to watch. 

As I was in the middle of the show I noticed it started to rain. I look out my window and see that it was just 7 pm. I go to the kitchen and close my windows because I don't want any rain in my kitchen.

An hour passed and I'm still watching tv. I felt uncomfortable,  like if something was bothering me. I hear a knock on my door and I head to it. I realized it's still raining. I opened the door to see shadow all wet from the rain and shivering. "Shadow!? What happend!?" I let him inside and gave him a towel.

"Someone punched holes in my tires as I was around the corner while it was raining. And I decided to see if you have any tires?" I shake my head and started making some tea. "Sorry I dont think I have any, soo where's your car now?" I ask. "A block away, I was trying to get some groceries but I realized my tires were popped once I got out the store" shadow said covering himself in the towel

I soon finished the tea and gave him some. I guessed he liked it since he smiled after drinking it. "Can I crash here for the night? It's still raining and I don't want to get sick" he asked. I guess I can, I do have 3 guest rooms but wouldn't it be awkward. Eh why not. "Sure I have a guest room across from mine, follow me" I say as I lead up the stairs. He follows and we stop at my room. "Choose any room in the hallway. This is mine" I say as i show the door that has a rose on it.

"Thanks" he says as he entered the room across from mine. After that, I drop off some clothes I have lying around for him. "Thanks amy, where'd you get these clothes?" "I always have a closet of boy clothes here, you're not the only boy here hehe" I say jokingly. Shadow laughs abit and goes to change. Things feel awkward. I need to tell him how i feel and talk about what happened last night. I saw some bruises. I hope hes okay.

I go to turn off everything and head to bed. I think shadow has gone to sleep but that's okay. Maybe in the morning we can talk. Time to sleep.
